Willie puts it all out there. Very entertaining. Hope I can find some of Willie's old recordings to see how much he changed or didn't.

My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic. And a coyote shape-shifter. And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack. Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadn’t stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who live in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground.

Don't make this your first Mercy Thompson story. Read or listen to some others so you won't be overwhelmed by this one. Looking back, knowing what Mercy has already done, makes this one completely believable.

Narrator has an accent, but it was a plus for the story. Worth the listen and probably a 2nd one.

Kerra Bailey is a television journalist on the rise, and she's hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to even greater heights: an interview with the legendary Major Trapper. Twenty-five years ago, the major emerged a hero from the bombing of the Pegasus Hotel in downtown Dallas when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors out of the collapsing building. The iconic picture transformed him into a beloved national icon, in constant demand for speeches and interviews - until he suddenly dropped out of the public eye.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Entertaining stories of "Dead" characters outside their interaction with Sookie.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead but Not Forgotten?

Quinn's story was riveting. I wanted more!

What three words best describe Johanna Parker’s performance?

Versatile, well paced

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No, movies never do justice to the images created in my head.

Any additional comments?

When I re-listen to the Sookie books, the "Not Forgotten" stories will add more color to the way I envision these characters.
