Book 2 is a different animal than book 1. Book 1 is full of humor and cuteness. Book 2 is full of angst and emotional turmoil. I will say that the Heroine wasn’t near as irritating, in this book. I expect that book 3 will be full of action. This story has dragged me and hooked me in so I’m off to book 3.

I find it interesting that I usually comment about the insta-love relationship, in most relationships. However, in this novel, I found myself getting irritated with how slow the relationship took to develop; about 2/3 of the book. The sexual interactions are very mild so, if illicit sex scenes bother you, this book will probably not offend you.
This plot is an unique paranormal romance, in my experience. Therefore, likely this book won’t seem like the same old same ole. The three main characters are the Hero, REN, the Heroine, Ivy and Ivy’s roommate Tink, who is a Brownie, which is a small ferry-like creature.
Ren is calm, patient, loving but also a fierce protector.
Ivy is immature, Defensive, irritating, infuriating and is a relationship finicky, to top it off. She does not have very much experience with Male/Female relationships and often comes across as a teenager instead of a 21 year old student.
Tink, is the comic relief, in the book. He is Ivy’s Bff and a seriously accomplished asshole. The narrator did a fantastic job with her interpretation, of this character; it is a highlight of this book.
Unfortunately, this book does end with an irritating Cliffhanger. Luckily, the other 2/3 of this trilogy are available to purchase, immediately after completing this book. Granted, it is a bit of a pricey story but hopefully an enjoyable one.

Dang, this book was disappointing; especially the Heroine. If she asked one more question I would have screamed. She acts like a 15 yr old instead of a 24 yr old. She meets this mentally stunted man that is a contract killer and was a-seriously abused child and she badgers him with deeply personal questions; in the first 36 hours of their acquaintance. Why not? She falls in love with him and informs him of this in 48 hrs. Then she gets pissed when he runs away from her. Hell yeah, obviously this girl is a whacked out stocker. No worries though, Within the week, he comes to her and admits he is in love with her too. Come on, I know romance has a lot of insta-love but a H/h who are bother abuse victims with serious emotional illness. Be for real. Just skip this book, unless you are feeling your zen and have an abundance of patience.

I would like to say that I admire anyone who has the gift of being able to narrate. This narrator definitely has some skill but, I was floored that the producer did not have NS re-record some of the voices she used and the “laughs” that she butchered. I really wasn’t sure I was going to be able to finish the book because of the really bad parts, of the narration.
I was able to block out the worst parts of the narration, although there was a lot of eye rolling and cringing.
I enjoyed the plot, overall, with the exception of some annoyance at the Heroine’s Mother for her closed mindedness and prejudice; a pet peeve of mine. Worth a credit? I’m not sure I would have spent a credit, out of sure principle. This tale was broken into two books which would have been a rip off, if this series wasn’t in the Romance package and ,therefore, included in the monthly romance fee.

I must admit that if it weren’t for the fact that this series is included in the romance package, I would be annoyed that this story was broken into two books, for no other reason, in my opinion, then for profit. The second half of the book does have a lot less action than the first half but is also has less angst. I’ve enjoyed listening to this couple’s relationship develop and I’m so glad they got their HEA.
Now, on the other hand, some of the narration is ridiculously, horrible; especially this narrators interpretation of laughter. I seriously cringed every time a character was described as laughing. Some of the narration was quite good but unfortunately, what sticks in my mind is the poor parts of the narration.
The second half of the tale spends little time in the MC world. I missed that interaction in this half. There is also a major conflict that is resolved only by hints in the story; kind of a disappointment. Overall, it was an enjoyable listen. I did enjoy the first half more than I did the second.

Wow! I was really surprised that this book was so good. The timeline requires some focus because there are flashbacks at different times.
This is not the standard MC romance. First of all, it is extremely violent. This is definitely a 1% outlaw club and they do not apologize for this fact. Therefore, if the extreme violence, including torture, bothers you, choose another book.
The other way that this book is different is that a woman is a prospect for the club and ,therefore, she is just as violent as the men and not very ladylike.
In addition, the relationship between the Hero and Heroine is definitely unconventional. Their relationship starts as a love/hate relationship with a power struggle. They are not very kind to each other and their is arguing and name calling and almost violent sex; if you’re more traditional, this may upset you.
Be aware, that there is a pretty intense plot that includes blackmail, extortion, revenge, torture, kidnapping and murder.
My only real complaint is that the book ended pretty abruptly and parts of the plot were not resolved fully. Perhaps they will be resolved in future books. Worth your time and a credit? As long as you can handle the uglier side of mankind, then yes.

Well, Kidd’s aka Angelo’s story was a little more rocky than the Cameron brothers’; but it was still sweet. The relationship had a few bumps but, in the end they get their HEA.
Chelsea Camaron’s narrating doesn’t bother me as much as it does some listeners. I admit that she does have some unique voices but, I guess since I have heard many books that she has narrated, I’ve gotten used to her uniqueness.
I enjoyed the book, overall but, there were a couple of unresolved issues that bothered me. One was that the results of Angelo’s appeal was not mentioned. I thought this was a pretty important detail to leave out. Why did they decide to move to NY? I’m not sure if another book will come out that will address these oversights, but I hope so. Worth a credit? I think so.

Ok, fellow listeners, I know the Caldwell brothers are too perfect. I considered it a refreshing difference, after all the Romance novels I’ve read that the Hero made many mistakes before becoming a good man. I liked the continued theme of , “Pay it forward,” in these books, because I really think the world would be a better place if everyone would do so.
I also liked that a good part of the plots included helping abused women and children to find some good in their world of bad. I guess what I’m trying to convey is that this series is a “feel good” series so if you need a break from the angst and tragedies of the literary world, you will likely enjoy this series.

This book was better than Hendrix’s story. It is a little longer and that definitely made a difference but, the biggest difference is that there was only one major conflict. Book one had several conflicts and since the book was so short, none of the conflicts were throughly resolved. Admittedly, this Caldwell brothers are unrealistically perfect, however, it was kind of nice to not have deal with the angst of waiting for the Hero to see the errors of their ways before there could be a HEA. In this series, it is the Heroine that is a untrusting and the Hero is perfectly calm and patient while the Heroine sorts through her issues; kind of a nice change.

I’m looking forward to learning more about Jagger because not much is revealed,in the first two books. To be honest, if these books weren’t part of the romance package, I doubt I would have spent a credit on any of these books, due to their short length but, since they are included in the Romance package, I’d say they are worth the time invested to listen to the Caldwell brothers find their soul-mates.

This started out pretty emotional. I was grabbing Kleenex during the prologue, for Heavens sake. Then the story of Hendrix and Olivia starts out with a good pace. Unfortunately, instead of continuing the pace, which would lengthened the book, the author throws in insta-love. There are several conflicts that arise but they quickly resolved without giving them any real significance. I enjoyed the basic storyline but, this book had so much potential if the author would have doubled the length of the book.
To be honest, if this book wouldn’t of been part of the Romance package, I would not have spent a credit on it; due to its length. However, since it is in the Romance package, I gave it a shot. No, it’s not a book I would relisten to but I did find it entertaining.
