Ian is...just my best friend. We're extremely close, stuck so deep inside a Jim-and-Pam-style friendzone everyone at work assumes we're a couple - that is until one day, word spreads through the teacher's lounge that he's single. Fair game. Suddenly, it's open season on Ian. He should be reveling in all the newfound attention, but to our mutual surprise, the only attention he seems to want is mine. He's turning our formerly innocent nightly chats into X-rated phone calls. Our playful banter sports a new, dangerous edge.

I hired her to be my girlfriend. To fix my reputation. To save my career. It's not that I don't want a girlfriend. I do. I want it all. Wife, kids, side-by-side burial plots. The problem is - I can't have any of it. So I've made myself untouchable. The quintessential bachelor of baseball. Because it's not worth the risk. Not even for someone I love. Especially not for someone I love. We made the arrangements. We agreed to a contract. It's iron clad. No sex. No love. No future.

This book was a bit more explicit than the first in the series but still less than most. I appreciate an actual story about people and their lives and not just graphic words about sex.

Riley is relatable and is a strong and nicely written character. Brady is portrayed as a playboy with a heart.

The inner dialogue allows a decent look into motivations for the actions taken by each character that is believable, and for me personally strikes close to home on multiple family tragedy levels. I cried and laughed and cheered for each of the characters throughout the story. I promise you won't regret the time you spend listening to this very sweet story.

Oh, and as always the narration by Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber is amazing! Erin and Zachary hit this one out of the park!

It was my home run ball that shattered her face. Right along with her modeling career. Now it's my mission to help her rebuild her life. And get her to love the game that she hates. The game that dictates my life both on and off the field. But when the lines of our friendship become blurred, I worry she'll just be another casualty of my three-strikes rule. The rule I have to protect my money, my future, my heart. No girl has ever broken it. I've never wanted one to. Until now.

I had never read or listen to a Samantha Christy book before but will have to admit, I think she's now bubbled to the top of my list of favorite authors. Her stories are sweet with good character development, and the intimate scenes are not too excessively or inappropriately graphic.

The narrators are spot on! Zachary Weber and Erin Mallon have to be 2 of my favorite matchups. Their narrations are always fantastic and can pretty much make a rock description sound extremely interesting!

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. This story was such a sweet love story! Considering the formulaic methods that so many authors used to always inject some level artificial trauma or villain into the middle of the story, this story was great because it didn't. It was so nice to listen to a story that just let itsef unfold and develop without the trumped up drama. Oh, don't get me wrong there was a villain in the story but not an active villain. The story itself was traumatic enough without the added and forced active villain storyline. loved this story!!!!
