She started from perfect. A star who shone brighter than the rest. But then fate took it all away. Now she's broken. A beautiful song with a fractured beat. But I'm still on the rise. Chasing a dream that she's already left behind. If I'm lucky, I can find my redemption in the spotlight. Destiny brought us together. Put her in my path. It started with a road trip. But somewhere along the line, it became a journey from here to there. Maybe she can help me. Maybe we can help each other. Maybe music is enough. Maybe. Every story deserves a soundtrack. And ours is epic.

To begin with, he hated her, but as the months bled into years, he learned the opposite of hate, dedicating his life to giving her everything. Every sacrifice, every gift, he gave wholeheartedly. But then love turned to lust and ruined everything.

6 stars?
I feel it’s more than that and I feel dumb when I rate 4 to 5 stars to so many, compared to this one.

I can’t even rate this duet because it does have its own category. I’m yet to find out where it belongs.

I’m glad I’ve found this author a few years back to understand now her full talent. I love her.

This is unforgettable, heartbreaking, poetic and really intense. And I’m having a lot of trouble to find words.

You won’t find romance, the one that’s predictable. But you’ll find pure love, raw, organic so powerful, it will break you. You’ll love it, you’ll hate it.

You will want to live your own.

Completely in love with the very interesting, intelligent, flawless story.

You will want to read/ listen to this, it will mark you but you’ll be lucky to have found it and lived through it.

From New York Times best seller Pepper Winters comes one of her best tales yet... "What do you do when you meet your soul mate? No wait...that's too easy. What do you do when you meet your soul mate and have to spend a lifetime loving him in secret? I'll tell you what you do. You lie." Ren was eight when he learned that love doesn't exist - that the one person who was supposed to adore him only cared how much he was worth. His mother sold him and for two years, he lived in terror. But then...he ran.

Originality
Is the word I can think of when digging in Pepper Winters new favorite writing. As innocent as I am going blind in this book I understand why Pepper says this book did fly of her fingers. You will too, once you have it in your hands, heart and soul.

Why I love it ? Because it’s not an ordinary love, the one that is safe, not an ordinary book. Keep your mind open. It’s a journey, it’s a lesson.
From a friendship to a love to fight and die for.

Her writing showed me eighteen emotional years.
Did I struggle, did I ask for more?

I was burned, I bled.

Outstanding beautiful poetic story told by the best!

Lust. My ultimate downfall and demise. I'm shackled to a life I can't escape. A life I never asked for. Now, I'm trapped - soulless, burdened by a Watcher lurking within. He wants out, he wants her. But I can't let that happen, won't let that happen. She's mine. Somehow that doesn't matter. I can't have what I crave. What I want. What I need. So this is a paranormal story, hmm?

The only ones I've read are from Anne Rice and lately by Sylvain Reynard, can't go wrong with SR!

This is my first from Kim, a new author for me :)

It is not that paranormal at all, well, it has vampires and Heaven and Hell battles, but the
very interesting and entertaining point, is that it is a very human premise , heart and soul, love and lust with lots of hot scenes...

I liked the feel of the book.

Galen is a vampire, who meets Reese, somewhat innocent but not completely naive. He feels a deep connection he doesn't understand. He never felt it before and he is not the only one.
Galen shares this weird situation with a fallen angel who has been dormant in his mind and body and awakens when he meets Reese.

Coexisting is hard and that's not all, Reese is very suspicious about the intensity in Galen's behavior towards her...

I've listened to it, a great audiobook and an amazing narration by Will M Watt and Susan Fouche. Can't wait to hear Devon again! :)

Twists and surprises keep you listening. I'm really looking forward to the next book!

I was young enough not to understand that my life was different. Colin became the one person that I could count on to protect me. He suffered for the both of us by carrying the burden of our secret. We were the lucky few that got a chance to start over. A fake family, a new home, and a pretty little life built on lies. But while our lives continued to intertwine, we were put on very different paths. Now it's only a matter of time before they collide and the beast behind the beauty is exposed.

If you read the author, you will know his way of writing these characters with more human in them than supernatural.
Their magic they keep it to themselves, saving the energy necessary to a next encounter.

These are short stories that started long time ago, which end with a meeting of chaos.

I enjoyed listening to this audio book gift by the author as I've enjoyed the previous stories.

Wonder what will happen...
