Michael Lesley is a true artist. His performance, because it was a performance not just narration, brought the book to life in a way that my imagination wouldn't even come close to conjuring up. This book is hilarious but Michael makes it even better.

One night, Stella gets a call, late (again), from one of the members of her crazy band. She has to go play clean up (again) and runs into Mace (and a shed load of police) and ends up getting shot. Mace finds he doesn’t like it much that his ex-girlfriend got shot right in front of him, but it’s worse. A very bad man has thrown down the gauntlet, and all the Rock Chicks are in the firing line.

What other book might you compare Rock Chick Reckoning to and why?

This is similar to the other books in the Rock Chick series. A solid installment for sure.

What three words best describe Susannah Jones’s voice?

Easy on ears

Any additional comments?

This is a very good book in the Rock Chick series. I think the only complaint i had was what most people complained about and that was the epilogue that gave away snippets of details for the following books. Again, Susannah is not my favorite narrator. Nor is she in my top 5. She does a decent job but I think I was spoiled previously so I wasn't as impressed as most people are with her.

Would you consider the audio edition of Hell & High Water to be better than the print version?

Yes! Mark Westfield rocks this series! I won't even consider reading the book because he is so good and brings so much life to the story. He does not disappoint at all.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hell & High Water?

Dex is a trip. He's the highlight of the story for me.

Which scene was your favorite?

The fighting over cheesy doodles.

Any additional comments?

Let me say that I am not at all a regular reader of M/M books. Normally that is a big NO for me actually. This is the second series I've ever read that was M/M and it's a series that I know love and cannot wait for more of. The writing is spot on, the story is interesting and the characters are a trip.
