It was interesting listening to Mr Douglas explain these unsolved murders from a profilers perspective. The everyday person most likely doesn’t have all the info to make informed decisions on “Who Dunnit.” The author fills in some missing gaps and discusses how or why some theories are possible or not. As interesting as Mindhunter. Highly recommended.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to read a book about Hugh after everything he’s put Kate, her friends and loved ones through, but I am SO glad I did. It was great to hear his back story and have a better understanding of him as a character. Whew, Roland is such a monster! Elara, what can you say about her other than, you go girl, kick his @ss if you need to! If you like the Kate Daniels universe, don’t hesitate to read this. You’ll be so glad that you did!

This original, witty and fascinating book is a must read for any lover of true crime or even police procedurals. The evolution of the FBIs Behavioral Science Unit is quite the ride from beginning to end. Hearing about the cases that the BSU assisted with is very interesting. It gives you the behind the scenes efforts that make up the profiling process. Great book! Highly recommended.

I liked the book as a whole, I just got really frustrated with the heroine. There are times you want to reach through the device, smack her and tell her to get over it. She had trust issues from a hard life, but she pushed that way past almost anyone’s breaking point. The hero is a saint. They have a great hea, but getting there at times is a difficult listen. I’m glad I finished it, but I almost didn’t on more than one occasion.

What did you love best about Croak?

The fact that Lex actually thought she was being sent to a farm to work off her bad behavior. When she gets to her uncles and finds out the real deal she can't quite believe it.

Who would have thought that she was a grim reaper? Not only that, it runs in her family? How could she not have known about this? Yeah, she was pretty surprised.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Croak?

When Lex is at the Tree for the first time. Can you say denial?

What about Jessica Almasy’s performance did you like?

She was good about making the characters sound very individual

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not specifically

Any additional comments?

This a good solid YA that will also appeal to adults. No teen angst. Just a good solid story.

What did you love best about The Ghoul Next Door?

If I could give this a 4 1/2 I would!

This book was really, really good. The last few have been good, don't get me wrong. This one though was outstanding. There were more plot twists and turns and it was slightly darker than usual.

I liked the stories in Europe with the haunted castles, etc. and the Native American story was good. It showed a different side of the medium aspect. But this harkened back to the murder mystery side of the ghost busting. This time with a serial killer.

Also, the crew was back home so you saw characters you haven't heard about in awhile.

What did you like best about this story?

They had to work back and forth between the past and the present to figure out what ghost they were dealing with

Have you listened to any of Eileen Stevens’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Eileen Stevens did a good job

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reaction

Any additional comments?

I am looking forward to the next book. M.J. is heading back home to see her Dad.

Would you consider the audio edition of Free: I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas to be better than the print version?

Yes! Its free and I don't know if the print version is available.

What other book might you compare Free: I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas to and why?

All the other books in this series

Which scene was your favorite?

The whole story is good.

Though, it is funny when Gigi is in the tree farm after attacking Ben. Cal and Iris show up a few minutes later. It takes Gigi a minute to figure out that Cal and Iris weren't exactly looking for Christmas trees and that's why it took them a few minutes to show up.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No. It was cute and I hope a taste of a story yet to come? Kind of like a Ghost of Story Future????

Any additional comments?

If you like the rest of the Hollow books, you'll like this one.

If you could sum up Stone Guardian in three words, what would they be?

Trust issues prevail.

The great "collision" causes magic to spill over into the "normal" world. Now there are areas where magical creatures and people reside and places where plain humans reside. These areas are to stay separate. That's the rule. Until one day when an English teacher is attacked by zombies for seemingly no reason and is saved by a magical creature.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Terak, leader of the Gargoyles

Which scene was your favorite?

I didn't have a specific favorite

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I think the title of the book would be fine

Any additional comments?

I wasn't sure about having gargoyles as a romantic hero, but it works well. Can't wait for the next book.

Where does The Undead Pool rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the top 10. This is one of my all time favorite series. I am sad to see it end. But, I am happy with how it did end. I will definitely listen to this series over and over again in the future.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Undead Pool?

There are way too many moments to name just one, but here are a few.

***Spoiler Alert***

Ivy has moved on. She isn't stuck on an unhealthy reliance on Rachel any more. She has found something good with Nina. Nina needs her and that makes Ivy stronger. She seems to need that.

I am heart broken for Al. You know that he loves Rachel and she has hurt him. Even though Al is a demon, he's has pulled Rachel out of the fire quite a few times. Does that mean she should love him back? No, but was there a way for her to end things with him better? I don't know. I just feel for him.

I am happy that Trent and Rachel are finally together. There has been plenty of dancing around each other. They are settled into something they can both grow into and make their own. Finally! (I think I would have lost my mind had Ms. Harrison not put them together in the end)

What about Marguerite Gavin’s performance did you like?

Margeurite Gavin is perfect! She is the characters in this book. I can't imagine anyone else's voices narrating these characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The whole book was an extreme reaction. I hate it when series that are my favorites come to an end. (By Feb I have already lost 2 of my favorites.)

But this was a sweet end to a wonderful story. I will definitely listen to all the books again and again.

Any additional comments?

If you have read the other books, you need to read the way the story ends. You won't be disappointed.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would if they are already a Mercy Thompson series reader. Its late in the series to pick this one up and start reading.

What did you like best about this story?

It was a good advancement of the story. I always had a feeling Christy was going to try something like this. She's a rotten brat.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the book as a whole

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Night Broken works fine

Any additional comments?

A good addition to the series. Waiting for the next one.
