Master storyteller and best-selling author H. B. Moore brings to life the biblical account of Ruth as never before in this vivid retelling of her courageous and faithful life. Following the death of Ruth's husband, she finds herself at a crossroads. Rather than return to her family and hometown, the young widow makes a remarkable decision: she will remain with her mother-in-law, Naomi, as her caretaker and companion.

Life on The Divide was a struggle for the pioneering Bergson family. Alexandra, all at once tough as nails and tender as a budding blossom, faces and conquers the harsh realities of early settlers in Nebraska. The struggle for life, love, and meaning permeate this timeless classic. Willa Cather captures the imagination with her vivid portrayals of landscape and the enduring desire to achieve a dream.

Nancy Peterson's narration is flawless. I noticed that her immigrant characters' different accents matured and became more subtle as they aged, taking on a bit of the Nebraska flavor, while others stayed the same (the older folks), and yet others lost their accents entirely. I forgot I was listening to a narration.

I read The Scarlet Letter in high school. Dry.As.Dust.
Nancy Peterson breathed life and meaning into this old classic. I loved it from the second I heard her delightful rendition of the judgemental women in chapter one!
