This book told many great stories; from open sea survival to big game hunting; from open war to sniper technology. Every saga told in a different country with pseudo-historical background. Can't waiit to move on to next volume... 30

There is so much more story that author never told. Reader feels cheated and underwhelmed.

Would you try another book from Rudyard Kipling and/or Sam Dastor?

Language translation is poor and inconsistent. Constant distraction.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something done by an American Narrator

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Sam Dastor?

A Brit that doesn't have to try so hard to dramatize the story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

frustration.

Any additional comments?

I am blind and unable to breath without oxygen. Audible is my only lifeline.

This is an excellent historical drama spoiled by what sounds like "text to voice" technology. Every Japanese word is mispronouncd; as are Navy terms unfamiliar to the story teller. His inflections are nonsensical and distracting.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Last Days of Night to be better than the print version?

Last Days of Night is an engaging amalgamation of Naivete, ego, mania, money and the frailty of the human mind. Weave inside historical tidbits about creating the concept of the commercial electrical application and service. Audible brings it alive.
