Hunting monsters was supposed to be the hard part. When Joy came to Apex City, all she cared about was protecting the Cits from the dangers lurking outside protective barriers. She understood the need for the secrecy surrounding her hunts - no need to cause a panic by announcing just how real of a threat the Othersiders pose. But as she quickly discovered, the conspiracies of the city run much deeper. And a dangerous new covert mission leaves Joy with a target on her back once more.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. At first I didn't like the reader, but in this second book I liked having the same reader bc I was used to her voice.

The story was developed very well and the characters that died were important enough to make me have an emotional response, but not so important that I was upset at the author. I liked the action, adventure, and strategy this story involved. It was unpredictable and appeals to any age group. Definitely would recommend.

They thought they'd already faced their toughest fight. But there's no relaxing for the reunited Zeroes. These six teens with unique abilities have taken on bank robbers, drug dealers, and mobsters. Now they're trying to lay low so they can get their new illegal nightclub off the ground. But the quiet doesn't last long when two strangers come to town, bringing with them a whole different kind of crowd-based chaos. And hot on their tails is a crowd-power even more dangerous and sinister.

I loved the reader and the different voices she used for the characters. I didn't like the villain or the cheesy way he back me the way he was. Also I didn't like how self conscious Kelsey was about becoming like him. To me, the choice was simple. Either you succumb and embrace a life of murder, or you say no and be who you are. Also, the ending was a little disappointing. Like the whole story built up to the moment, but the way the villain was taken down was anticlimactic. The plot was a little juvenile. This book seems like it was written for 12 year olds.
