No prison can keep me from seeking revenge. Especially when it comes to her. She, the woman who put me in jail. I swore that I'd come for her, to claim what belongs to me: her life. I'm not a good man. On the contrary, I love to be bad. It's in my veins. Just like it's in my veins to ruin her. She's an actress, pretending to be a saint, but we both know that isn't true. One way or another, she'll pay for what she did.

What disappointed you about Stalker?

I hated BOTH narrators in this book! The male sounds like a bumbling moron with a lisp, a stark contrast to the character he portrays. The female lead is mono-dramatic and lacks any talent.

What could Clarissa Wild have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Chosen better narrators.

How could the performance have been better?

Different Narrators!!!!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story line was adequate, but I much would have rather read the book and not wasted my money on the narration.

Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their steamy, combative relationship. Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book ended my hopes of finishing this series, the male lead in narration was horrible. and the story line fell flat. This book lacked the chemistry and spark of the first book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Christina Lauren again?

Not likely.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate - and completely irresistible. A beautiful bastard. Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative - completely infuriating - creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules....

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I found it a bit confusing that both male and female leads were narrated by only a female voice. I feel like it would have added a more believable depth to the story to have male and female narration.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beautiful Bastard?

the SEX!!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator seemed to have a lisp that was distracting, especially when portraying "Bennett"

Do you think Beautiful Bastard needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It has follow up books, however, if they are narrated in the same fashion as this, I won't be listening to them.
