Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

By fart the best book out there and it works. What I've been putting into practice is actually working and helping me get better deals for my clients. The narrator did a great job, but I really wish Mr. Voss would have narrated it. There are some points of voice inflection and such that I would have liked to hear in the author's own voice.

The classic story of a family's pilgrimage into the Orthodox Church. Veiled in the smoke of incense, the Eastern Orthodox Church has long been an enigma to the Western world. Yet, as Frederica Mathewes-Green discovered, it is a vital, living faith, rich in ritual beauty and steadfast in integrity. Utilizing the framework of the Orthodox calendar, Mathewes-Green chronicles a year in the life of her small Orthodox mission church, eloquently illustrating the joys and blessings an ancient faith can bring to the worshipers of today.

Wonderful book for a Protestant seeker like myself. Provides a different angle than just theology. My only complaint is the audio of the book. I like it when authors read their own books, but in this case, as in another book by the same author, she needs a compressor on her voice to help even out her quiet moments and her louder moments. She frequently drops into quiet "vocal fry," which is great, but requires me to crank the volume, only to be blasted when she speaks more loudly. But don't let that stop you from enjoying this excellent book.

Any additional comments?

Yes, the beginning of the recording sounds like he did it at his house. That either quickly goes away or my ears quickly adjust, but it's not a reason to not get the book. Very minor issue. In response to people who said it was a rehash of other people's info, in my opinion, yes, he quotes a number of other people, but really this is proof of the validity of the concepts. All of us quote others because we should be learning from other peoples' successes and failures. If you are looking for a magic spell that will resolve your bad habits and present you $1M in a week, your problem is not the book, it's your get rich quick mentality. What Peter does so well in this book is organize the fundamental concepts required for success, explain them simply and with passion, and provide enough motivation to spark you to start taking action. The main point is mastery and taking action. I've already listened to it twice as I work on mastering one concept. I highly recommend this work.
