Terrible performance. Horedious editing, cutting off words, odd gaps, really bad. If it weren't a master piece by Anne mccaffery, I would have dropped it at chapter 1.

In the distant future, humans wage war against the alien planet Caeorleia, with no tactic off-limits if it will help the humans get their hands on Caeorleia's resources. Ask Ryker. He thought he volunteered for a simple experiment that would help his government in the war. He didn't realize sadistic doctors would turn him into the experiment - by injecting him with blood from a captured Caeorleian, Seral Iorflas.
I really enjoyed the story!

Reading the Dictionary is Better than this book.
What would have made The Experiment better?
A writer that knows how to write. This book has literally every single bad writing and bad romance cliche ever invented. I hate the characters. The main character, if you understand this reference, is Shinji Ikari; aka he whines and complains the entire book. Any action that he could have taken... since he IS the main character is taken away from him. He literally sits and waits around the entire book. The romance it terrible. Its instalove and they spend way too much time on it basically repeating the same scene several times then wrapping up the weak plot line. For me it is a very segmented book. Part 1: torcher /horro scene, Part 2: Instalove Romance, Part 3: Scifi action adventure. It just doesn't come together and is missing alot that would make it a good story. For most of the book it is a bad scooby doo episode.
What do you think your next listen will be?
What aspect of Shaun Leonhardt’s performance would you have changed?
It was acceptable. I didn't find it particularly bad. It wasn't spectacular either. The only thing that I didn't like was that you could hear every breath he takes, it gets annoying after a while.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No. My money would have been better spent by ripping it up and burning it. Oh, I know. Its soo bad it is actually funny.
Any additional comments?
Don't buy this book, even if it is free.
