  • Really Funny! Should Be Up for an Audie Award

Both the story and narration are hilarious! I think this book is better in audio format than the written word. The narrator does an excellent job of impersonating and capturing Sam Halpern's personality and wisdom. Do not listen to this while driving or if you are in a public place!

One of this country's leading political satirists dangles before us a tantalizing novel whose protagonist has a great deal in common with a recent First Lady. Beth MacIntyre, First Lady of the United States, has been charged with the murder of her husband, a Presidential Lothario of the first water. She is accused of throwing a historic Paul Revere spittoon during a bedroom spat, putting an unfortunately fatal dent in the President's lust-filled head.

Very well written. Buckley managed to keep me in stitches throughout the entire story. I will be sure to read and/or listen to more of his novels. The narrator did an excellent job as well.
