First Grave on the Right
- Charley Davidson, Book 1
- By: Darynda Jones
- Narrated by: Lorelei King
- Length: 8 hrs and 58 mins
A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.
Great choice for Stephanie, Lorelai or Buffy fans!

Would you listen to City of Heavenly Fire again? Why?
I love these books but the narrators have been and are still HORRIBLE!! There are wonderful narrators available. Why can't this publisher hire them?? It sounds like amateurs reading a book out loud.
I will not listen to any books listing these narrators. Better to read the books!
What did you like best about this story?
Interesting concept and story.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner ?
ANYONE BUT THE NARRATORS USED FOR THIS SERIES OF THESE BOOKS

Please re-do the narration
What did you like best about The Fiery Heart? What did you like least?
I love the books and I've gotten very used to Emily Shaffer's narration. Why in the world did you use another voice with such a different inflection for Adrian. Leave well enough alone and please provide a redo of the narration for this book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Adrian is my favorite character and this narration ruined the experience for me.
What didn’t you like about Emily Shaffer and Alden Ford ’s performance?
All of a sudden Adrian no longer has a British accent and that great attitude so well narrated by Emily.
