Jack London's The Call of the Wild is a griping tale of beast and man. In this beloved classic, Buck struggles to escape his captivity as he is transported from his home life in California to his new home amidst the Gold Rush. Battling frigid cold and utter confusion, Buck becomes aggressive and angry. Eventually, he becomes part of the pack led by John Thornton, and he begins to heal. Buck finally gives into his natural tendencies and learns to hunt and fend for himself, though always a friend to John Thornton.

If you could sum up The Call of the Wild in three words, what would they be?

I read this years agi and this was a wonderful interpretation of the book. The narration is top notch! Kevin Theis does a masterful job of storytelling.

I loved this book. As a Chicagoan who lives in LA I loved following Kevin's adventure. It's a funny, realistic view of trying to make it in LA. Really fun listen!

A darkly comic noir about a chicken living in a world of anthropomorphic eggs who's wanted for a murder he didn't commit. Life is tough for an embry. Considered a vestigial organ at best and a parasite at worst, chicken embryos are usually aborted by the egg folk early in life. Once in a while, one survives and slips through, hatching into an embry, an ostracized, lower caste anthropomorphic chicken. They have their own ghettos, and are barely tolerated by polite society.

Would you listen to Embry: Hard-Boiled again? Why?

No...I rarely listen to anything more than once...nothing against the story. I'd love to listen to this narrator again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes...it was fun and action packed so it held my attention. The egg jokes are silly but it has enough of a story to keep you interested. It's fast paced which helps keep the story moving.

Fun, scary tale. It is a quick listen with a great narrator and sound effects.

Would you recommend Bigfoot & Frankenstein to your friends? Why or why not?

It's a fun story! I liked putting to characters we know together.

Have you listened to any of Kevin Theis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He has a wonderful voice and makes everything he narrates come to life.

If you could rename Bigfoot & Frankenstein, what would you call it?

Confessions of a Transylvanian is a one-of-a-kind, backstage look at the greatest cult movie phenomenon of all time - the live Rocky Horror Picture Show - told by those who lived it. The highest-rated Rocky Horror book on the market, Confessions is a moving snapshot of life in a Rocky Horror cast that captures the grit, language and teenage angst of a group of fishnet-clad performers as they explore a world where the only rule was: Don't dream it. Be it.
