It was a new age, one called the Age of Aquarius. When the Beatles introduced the mystique of India to pop culture, the Hippie Trail was established as hip adventurers traveled overland from Europe to Kathmandu and India. Hunter was not among these hipsters. Still bitter over the way he was treated as a Marine combat veteran home from the Vietnam War, he felt the allure of the open road in America and in Europe. While getting visas in Vienna, he came across a Polish girl, Ewa, whose Politburo father got her unequal privileges she gladly abused to join Hunter on the trek to India to check out the new-age ashrams.

I’m not sure exactly what I expected in this story, from the description I thought it would be a lot different. It was very hard to get into the storyline and listen to the narrator. Not at all what I was expecting.

He’s everything I’ve ever wanted, and he’s completely forbidden. I’ve been in love with my dad’s best friend since I turned five. He gave me a tiara and called me his little princess. Except, I don’t want to be his princess anymore. I want to be his queen. I’ve taken a job at the sheriff’s department, just to be under his nose. I’ll wear my shortest skirts and my tightest shirts, and I will do whatever it damn well takes to get the sexy sheriff to notice me. Interoffice romance is frowned upon, but some rules are made to be broken.

This is another great book about the apocalypse. I can actually see some of the things in this book taking place if we were ever placed in these circumstances. I just absolutely love the character Gus. You just have to laugh at some of the things Gus says and does. This book is full of graphic and detailed description. I would highly recommend this book. I am currently working on getting through the whole series, I love each and everyone of them.

The narrator does a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life. He has a great barratone voice, that brings each of the characters to life.

I love the fact that the author is using the same narrator for all of the sequels, it makes the characters seem more interesting and real.

This is a wonderful read. I highly recommend it

This is another terrific book by Lee. Lee brings the happenings of the asylum to life, (I won’t go into details). He writes the most graphic and detailed books of horror that I have ever saw. Lee has a way of bringing out the most graphic and descriptive details. If you like horror, this book will not disappoint you. Like all of Lee’s books this is another hit.

I love the fact that Lee has chosen to work with Hannibal Hills again as the narrator. Hannibal brings all of the characters to life, he has such a deep, rich, and charismatic voice that just makes you invision every detail and character in the book.

I was given a code for this book, in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. I look forward to reading the next book.
