In his first book, The Bulletproof Diet, he shared his biohacking tips for taking control of your own biology. Now, in Head Strong, Asprey shows listeners how to biohack their way to sharper, smarter, faster, more resilient brains.

Would you try another book from Dave Asprey and/or Rob Shapiro and Dave Asprey ?

Scientific truth is difficult to obtain. It’s much easier to choose which is the truth, and belive. For someone that has some formal studies in biochemistry the The bulletproof diet and headstrong seems like a joke. Shoud we count how many mitochondria do you have to see how smart you are? Mmmmm. Aerobic tissues have more mitochondria because they need so for their specific function not because they are “smart”. That the mitochondria are essential organelles and much of our eukaryotic cell function, survival and death is dependent on the mitochondria in not a new knowledge. But that I will be a healthy, lean, smart and better person because I take a god care of my mitochondria seems at least extreme and far from science. And If to do so you need to buy my goods which are pure and non-contaminated by the evil molds, buy my coffee, my brain oil, my supplements. I have no doubt that Dave knows very well how to sell his products. Will they make you headstrong? Well if you buy them is because you need them.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I smiled.

Have you listened to any of Rob Shapiro and Dave Asprey ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no I haven't.

Did Head Strong inspire you to do anything?

yeah, I want to read the scientific literature supporting the authors claims. Where are they indicated?

Read the profet from kahil Gibran instead. Is shorter and more significant.

What do you think your next listen will be?

No more Paulo Cohelo by now.

What three words best describe Hector Almenara’s voice?

Monotonous.

Do you think El manuscrito encontrado en Accra [Manuscript Found in Accra] needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No

A. J. Jacobs tackles his most challenging experiment yet: a yearlong mission to radically improve every element of his body and mind - from his brain to his fingertips to his abs. First, he had to tackle a complicated web of diet and exercise advice, most which is nonsensical, unproven, and contradictory. Second, he had to consult a team of medical advisers. And finally, he had to subject himself, over the course of two years, to a grueling regimen of exercises and a range of diets and nutritional plans.

me gusto y vuelvo a escuchar partes cada tanto. es gracioso y es fácil identificarse con el personaje. ojalá tuviera un mejor final pero creo también eso es algo que todos compartimos con el autor .

I like this book by A.J. Jacobs. Its easy to listen and funny. Is also deep in human existence. It is very easy to get identified with the author going through all the things he has to do fo be healthy. Finally the truth is that is not so healthy trying so hard to be healthy. This is a lesson for many of us. Again I wished it had a better ending but we must face the real world in which even if we try hard to be healthy some day everything ends.
