The first time we met was at a party. Your ex arrived to show off the person he'd left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date. I was more than happy to help. You were attractive, smart and witty--and that kiss we shared? It left me wanting you for days. The second time we met was in my office on campus where we were both surprised to discover you were the new master’s degree student in poetry that I would be working with. You promised to be professional. I did no such thing. The late nights and intense study sessions spent alongside you majorly throw me off my game. I want you, and I fight with myself daily over this fact. I know I'm crass, that my sexual innuendos and dirty mouth annoy you, but I live for those two bright spots of color in your cheeks. If that's the only reaction I can get out of you, I'll gladly take it. You hate Mondays so every Monday I slip an anonymous poem into your bag and your smile gets me through the week. I think I'm falling for you, and I know it's wrong. I know that I'm only supposed to be the adviser to your program and nothing more, but here's the thing. I think you're falling for me too.

I feel like there were scenes cut out that should’ve been kept in. Where was the diner dinner? It’s a cute story, but I feel like it had more potential. I like my love stories with more detail. I was disappointed we only get the one poem I wanted to hear all of them. Also I wanted to hear her poetry not just his. Cute and loved the ending.

I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

The author outdid herself in this story. I loved learning about Lindsay and I found her more fascinating than her sister from the first book. I had no idea her matchmaking ability was more psychic than intuition. Only complaint is that I wish the narrator had actually sung! I had to keep rewinding to sing the song myself and get the meaning behind it. The audio company could have done better on performance with guitar and actual singing...even the bad kind ;)

It was cheap and I enjoyed the first two books so much! It was an interesting story but I would never spend a credit on it, and honestly it’s not worth more than $5 - I was hoping there was something new or insight we didn’t get to see in the second book. But nope. All there is, is knowing who Dahlia is, and that she has lots of animals.

When Lily Jacobs was born, she inherited Fazire - a genie. Her family had three wishes and they'd only ever used one so Fazire was stuck in the human world. This worked since he'd become a member of the family anyway. Even with a genie, Lily's young life wasn't perfect. To escape the kids making her miserable at school, Lily buried herself in romance novels. One day, when the teasing was just too much, she used one of her wishes.

I loved the unique genre of this book, fantasy inside a realistic romance. I love Kristen Ashley's books and this was my first time reading a fantasy romance, not about vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. What I really liked about this book was that it would have been a completely fine romance story on its own, but adding in the genie and wishes just made it even more special! I like a fantasy romance that has the story stand on its own without the "fantasy-element" but it makes it so much better! A very special treat and completely underrated. I bought this months ago and with Halloween decided I was in the right mood for trying a fantasy-romance. Was not disappointed.

The story does drag on in a couple places, but it is unique and hilarious! I'm not usually a fan of books where we don't meet the protagonists until way later on, but it works. This audiobook sure brought out my feelings. I cried so hard when Lily and Nate had to go through all their "trials and tribulations". There was definitely the moral of be careful what you wish for. Nothing in their love story was unrealistic though, it could have all happened without there being a genie or wishes. None of the wishes were unrealistic story-cheats. There was so much love in this story! Not just romantic, but platonic, paternal, and maternal. If anyone knows if any other "fantasy romances" like this one I would love to try them!

This was my first time listening to Carly Robins and she did a great job switching between British/American, female/male, and old/young voices.

Lena Turner has spent her life as the outsider. Thanks to her extraordinary gifts, she's learned to be independent - especially when it comes to men. She's content to live her life in New Orleans as a schoolteacher, dating casually and dedicated to her small family. Long term is not part of her plan. Wish it had been a little bit longer like the other two novellas, but had a great storyline and was a really fun adventure and scavenger hunt! One less star because Mayans aren't found in Chile, those are Incans and I didn't get how Mallory knew things without touching Lena? Discontinuity a bit in the storyline.

Family. Responsibility. Stability. As the co-CEO of Bayou Enterprises and the eldest of the Boudreaux clan, Beau is the epitome of these. Now that his baby sister, Gabby, is happily settled down, Beau has moved into the company loft in the heart of the French Quarter to be closer to his office while his own home is built. He doesn't have time for anything but the family he adores and the company that drives him. If only the bewitching owner of the herb shop downstairs from Beau's loft weren't so damn tempting.

I don't know why they changed the male narrator, but it was great to hear a different man's voice...also his voice was way more southern/sexy than the others. Great story, loved how there wasn't a big, stupid misunderstanding like there had been in the others. It was also more magical and it was great meeting Papa Boudreaux!

Wow. I don't usually read/listen to novellas or any audiobooks shorter than 5.5 hours - but I'm glad I made an exception for this story. The only reason I bought this was because the characters and part of their story was introduced in the first Boudreaux book "Easy in Love" and it started playing immediately after the end of it. For a 3 hour book it was jam-packed with characters, adventure, and mystery - instead of who's stealing money, it's who's killing Lila's students! We learn that Lila is a professor and Asher is a homocide detective and single dad. Kate's in this book too and there are some very fun and heartwarming scenes. Not a lot of humor, but a great story I am happy I paid $4 for. Make sure you don't use a credit! If Kristin Proby's next three books are as great as these two have been - I'm probably going to break my rules again and listen to the other two novellas!
