Ned Willard wants nothing more than to marry Margery Fitzgerald. But when the lovers find themselves on opposing sides of the religious divide sweeping across the country, Ned goes to work for Princess Elizabeth. When she becomes queen, all Europe turns against England.

Very graphic, and the sex scenes were more funny than stimulating. Most of what the girl accomplished was so far fetched, it was hard to believe. Although I did have to keep listening just to find out what would be said next. Last straw was the way it ended. Literally dropped off in the middle of a thought. Can't do it again with the sequel

I started with Book 1 and was amazed at how well thought out the plot and characters was. You are able to quickly grasp the concept and get sucked into the story. Amazing!! I plan to read many more of his works.
And Michael Kramer does an exceptional job with narration! Soooo easy to listen to, he stayed true to the characters in all 3 books of the series!

In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral.
