I wasn't expecting this book to be so engrossing. I listen to a lot of books and usually listen at 1.25+ speed but about halfway through this book I actually listened at regular speed. Made me laugh throughout plus the story was refreshing and suspenseful.

Read for review and this was not up there with the best. Weak female lead but still enjoyed the story even though it was very predictable. Narrator did a decent job as well. That all may sound negative but I actually enjoyed it on the level u can zone out a little while listening. I will check this author in the future.

Not sure if this is/was part of a series due to some references to past traumas, but I had no problem jumping in with no background. Sad in then end but there's no crying in murder mysteries! Loved it.

Read this for review though I had not read the first book in this series. It didn't seem to make a difference in the background of this book and I felt I could keep up without any of the first book's storyline. The premise of setting up parolees with homes and jobs was interesting but the catching of the killer was very anticlimactic. Narrator was great and the flow of the book was good. Will be looking out for the next installment.

I have read all of Tom Abrahams books so when I saw this book offered for review i jumped at the chance. The first half of the book read like a history lesson but all the players eventually melded into an intersting story. If there is a second installment I will purchase but I hope it becomes less "educational" now that the background is set. Overall I would recommend this book!
