The best part of this book was the narration by Paul Michael. I would listen to Paul read a dictionary, he's that good. I was disappointed the coverage of Reagan's political career was so unbalanced (imagine CNN/MSNBC writing this period of Regan's life). I was also surprised that Reagan's relationship with Margaret Thatcher was portrayed as acrimonious. The focus on every misstep and scandal with little or no coverage of his successes was very one-sided.

I really enjoyed the first two books in "The Cartel Trilogy". Ray Porter's narration was excellent as expected.
What was quite unexpected was the obvious fact Don Winslow must have ingested huge amounts of powerful hallucinogenics while writing this book. The political slant just ruined the story and ruined any respect I had for Don. I would never have guessed such a talented author could suffer so badly from TDS.
Please say a prayer for Don. I'm guessing he's being treated for a nervous breakdown after the release the Mueller Report.
I normally don't ever return books to Audible, but I'll gladly return this one.

An incredible expose of what really goes on in the “news” business. The most unsurprising revelation is the total lack of journalistic ethics in today’s news organizations. At least with Pravda you don’t expect objectivity.

As much an indictment of the media as a entertaining examination of the Trump phenomenon. Funny and witty as always with Coulter books.

The story was excellent, the performance nonpareil. This is one of the few books that compares favorably in term of story and performance to "The Prince of Tides" (also performed by Frank Muller)

Intelligence: A Novel of the CIA audiobook cover art

Great book for Bush Derangement

Overall
1 out of 5 stars

The Bush-Cheney bashers will love this. The parts of the story where it ascends into Dilbert style office politics is tolerable, but the parts that descend into sermonizing about how all conservatives/republicans are religious hypocrites with out any morals is just disgusting. I just couldn't get past the cynical, narcissistic, arrogant, "I'm so much smarter than everyone else" tone of the book. If this lady is representative of the analysts working in the CIA, we should all say a prayer and thank God we haven't seen weekly terrorist attacks.
The narration was above average. Overall, this book reads like an MSNBC editorial.

What about Sebastian Junger’s performance did you like?

This book gives a very clear and vivid picture of what our troops face in Afghanistan. It is done in an amazingly objective way and you truly get a sense of what motivates and excites the young men we send into harm's way to risk their lives for us. Junger's analysis of the young men he was with is spot on. War for them is the most exciting, scary, thrilling and heart-breaking time they will ever experience. It is life at the bleeding and dying edge.
Overall an excellent book, I couldn't put it down.
