For decades, The God Who Is There has been the landmark book that changed the way the church sees the world. In Francis Schaeffer's remarkable analysis, we learn where the clashing ideas about God, science, history, and art came from and where they are going. This edition includes a foreword by James W. Sire that places Schaeffer's seminal work in the context of the intellectual turbulence of the early 21st century.

Crystal-clear solid bible-based, accurate and thourough expostulation about the God who IS , and the historical efficacy in comparison to the socialistic/humanistic/psychologic counterparts. I learned SO much, and had my faith strengthened and affirmed over and over. I found it best to read this in "bites", so that I could slowly digest and assimilate the material, which is EXTREMELY powerful. You may not agree totally, but you will see God clearer, and stand firmer in your faith in Him as never before.

Christians have not always presented an inviting picture to the world. Too often we have failed to show the beauty of authentic Christian love. And the world has disregarded Christianity as a result. In our era of global violence and sectarian intolerance, the church needs to hear anew the challenge of this book.

The words we use can have a tremendous impact on a person's life. With them we can build up a heart or with them we can break one. Words can bless and words can crush, but if they're not founded in love they'll always be harmful in one way or another.
