I really loved this story - as wacky as it was.
I do not want to spoil anything so this will be brief.

I love that there was more to this book than a romance. I love the twists and turns that Ms. Smith threw in with action, drama, adventure, and characters I wanted to get to know.

It was hot, it was tender, it was kind of heartbreaking and it was uplifting. I am in for the series

But everything changes when Callie meets Wes Thorne, a wealthy, mysterious art collector and famous dominant. Despite all the nights she's spent dreaming of another man, it is Wes' predatory gaze that suddenly consumes her every thought and sets her body on fire.

I listened to the series in order and I think that helps a lot.
This one was a fun change of pace away from the twin brothers and their history.
Going into Callie and Wes's story was fun, distracting and at times Hot. While Wes isn't really my taste I could appreciate the distraction the story provided. I mean I know a rich, arrogant, prick is all the rage right now - I am kinda fed up with it, but it makes the travel and excess easy when you don't have to worry about accounting for your characters finances.

This was my least favorite of the 3 I have listened to so far.

On the surface, the Victorian age is one of propriety, industry, prudishness and piety. But scratch the surface and you’ll find scandal, sadism, sex, madness, malice and murder. Presented by Stephen Fry, this series delves deep into a period of time we think we know, to discover an altogether darker reality. The stories we’re told offer a different perspective on an era which underwent massive social change. As education, trade, technology and culture blossomed, why was there an undercurrent of the ‘forbidden’ festering beneath Victorian society?

I was in the mood for something a bit different and this looked interesting.
WOW- it was so much better than I had hoped. It was such a fun take on sharing history and Mr. Fry was a delightful narrator. So many things that came from Victorian England had and still have a massive influence on us today, so it was nice to get a glimpse at where it started and how.

This program includes a preface read by the author. In 1915, Sherlock Holmes is retired and quietly engaged in the study of honeybees when a young woman literally stumbles into him on the Sussex Downs. Fifteen years old, gawky, egotistical, and recently orphaned, the young Mary Russell displays an intellect to impress even Sherlock Holmes - and match him wit for wit. Under his reluctant tutelage, this very modern 20th-century woman proves a deft protégée and a fitting partner for the Victorian detective.

Only one problem: She wouldn't tell me her name or her number when she disappeared from the hotel room after the hottest f--king night of my life. Now I've had a taste of unicorn pussy - the sweetest, rarest of all pussy - and I need it again. So what's an asshole to do? I took this problem to the street, a missed connection gone viral. A blue-eyed innocent on the outside and a shark on the inside, dressmaker Sophy Noirot could sell sand to Bedouins. Selling Maison Noirot's beautiful designs to aristocratic ladies is a little harder, especially since a recent family scandal has made an enemy of one of society's fashion leaders. Turning scandal to the shop's advantage requires every iota of Sophy's skills, leaving her little patience for a big, reckless rake like the Earl of Longmore.

Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Hastings, has hatched a plan to keep himself free from the town's marriage-minded society mothers. He pretends to be engaged to the lovely Daphne Bridgerton. After all, it isn't as if the brooding rogue has any real plans to marry - though there is something about the alluring Miss Bridgerton that sets Simon's heart beating a bit faster. And as for Daphne, surely the clever debutante will attract some very worthy suitors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable.

Normally I love historical romances. I got this one because I have read other Quinn books and they were ok and I LOVE Rosalyn Landor.

I agree with the unpopular opinion review. This story has some major character flaws. I came to really dislike the heroine. And the hero was pretty thin. Forgiveness and changes of heart after betrayal are simply not that easy.

I greatly enjoy this series but Ian has a special place in my heart.

What I love about the series- the characters are vivid and strong (men and women). I love that they are loyal and passionate and devoted. I love that each has specific interests, strengths, and personalities (this is not a cookie cutter romance).

This book, in particular, is delightful because Ian is so special. The author never actually says that Ian is on the spectrum but it is left to us to understand why he is so intelligent and has "quirks" and I LOVE that he is a hero vs just a side character.

Just wonderful!
