When I stumbled into a Mafia-run club seeking a job, I was looking for protection. Little did I know I’d need protection from him. Conor O’Callahan was exactly the kind of danger I was trying to avoid. He was gorgeous as sin with an accent hotter than Hades, but that’s where the charm ended. He was also cynical, cold, and downright cranky. You could imagine my surprise when he gave me a proposition: marry him or lose my life.

I liked this audiobook a lot. It was genuine Zavarelli. I loved her boston underworld serie but felt she got lost while writing other books that werent nearly as good as Crow, Reaper and Saint. I actually returned thief but may try it again after getting this positive reading experience. I sincerely hope book with dark romance with Boris in it so that he can find his own russian songbird like Alexy. Love Tracy Marks. She's even better than the author and this serie in itself is worth gold.

Theresa Drazen wants to know one thing: Is there something wrong with her? Because from what she can see, she has money, brains, and a body that does the job. Yet she keeps getting shelved - most recently by her fiancé, who happens to be the DA. And she'll get over it, really. No problem. She'll just have a nice, short encounter with a mysterious Italian named Antonio who may or may not be involved with some kind of alleged criminal activity.

I had hard time relating to this Los Angeles, film industry and political scene world and C. D. Reiss' books unfortunaly remind me of Sidney Sheldon. Everything leaning towards high end and polished and I want my books and characters more flawed and from the gutter. Especially in dark romance/erotica. There is some hot and great sex scenes but this is one of the fields I think author has much to improve. Now Antonio is reduced to orgasm making machine. The scene with butt smutt was so ridiculous I surfed in net through that. Other than these points I was left satisfied with the book.

One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

A new dark romance from New York Times best-seller Anna Zaires. He came to me in the night, a cruel, darkly handsome stranger from the most dangerous corners of Russia. He tormented me and destroyed me, ripping apart my world in his quest for vengeance. Now he's back, but he's no longer after my secrets. The man who stars in my nightmares wants me.

I have read Anna Zaires' other dark romance books before this one and the only thing i dislike in them is cliffhangers and story being split in 3 pieces. If you are ok with that and love dark romance/erotica then this book is for you. Great work. Love Tracy Marks and in my opinion she could have narrated the male perspective too. She did it awesomely in Crow for example.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

There is no way that a woman wouldnt recognize her love interest / boss as the man she is having sex with only because she is wearing a blindfold. That ruined the whole story for me. Too stupid heroine.

Any additional comments?

Thank God for a refund. Tracy Marks does excellent job and i love A. Zavarelli's irish mob serie.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The male narrator ruined this book with his presentation of female voice which was straight from a comedie show. It gave an impression of a childish heroine which was accentuated by the dialogue written by author. I like strong heroines. Not whimpering door matts.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The alpha men in this book went too far with violence. Since these alphas couldnt even be killed and the ladyfolk (virgins of course) had to adjust to living with them the book really started to disgust me. The potential redeeming qualities of these alpha heroes started to seem nonexisting.

Would you be willing to try another one of Mikael Naramore’s performances?

Never. Sorry but never.

Any additional comments?

For all the training these ladies were supposed to have they seemed awfully ignorant, fearfull and stupid. Why did these men want them? Cant fathom...

He's dark and mysterious. Quiet and lethal. An Irish mobster. Pure sin wrapped up in a beautiful package. But there's also something off about him. He doesn't feel anything. He shows no emotions. Sometimes, I question his humanity. He hasn't spoken to me in two years. Not a single word. But we share a secret, he and I. And if it ever comes out, I have no doubt in my mind.... He won't have a problem killing me, too.

This was one of the best audible books I have ever listened. If it`s possible even to top author`s other book in the serie, Crow, then this one does it. Omg what an irish hunk of a damaged man. Completely droolworthy. Insanely hot. Heroine is close to perfection too. This story leaves nothing to hope for. The narrator is the best. Wish more authors used her and wished more authors wrote about dark irish hotter than hell mobster. I need my magic wand. Asap.

Blue was one hard twisted mf and Hannah was the epitome of anti heroine but this dark love story was definitely worth listening. I was suprised when I realized the story was coming to an end. It felt a bit rushed but then prolonging the story would have made it more boring. Maybe author writes too many books a year and could improve quality by putting more time for them. If couple has big misunderstandings in the past and years of resentment between them you dont expect these problems to be solved over a night. Given how complex the beginning of the story was I just expected more complexity from the end.

An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart. I had a plan. Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right? Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door. That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset.
