The beautiful saga about surviving the zombie apocalypse that David Simpson created continues. This book focuses on the relationship between Jessie, the disfigured road angel, and Scarlet, the daughter of the high priest of the Anubis cult. They are both damaged and young and have to bear a heavy burden for their age. Both have powers beyond human capacity. Both are the children and heirs to their fathers' legacies and empires, and they should be mortal enemies, not working together. They should be trying to kill each other, not trying to save what's left of the world.

After decades of planning, the contagion was unleashed, and overnight hundreds of millions died and came back as rampaging, undead monsters. The living that had been lucky enough to survive the first day of carnage, lucky enough to be in the right place, and lucky enough that some of them had the skills to survive soon found out there was much more to worry about than just zombies.

This book will put you on edge of your mind thinking what’s going to happen next. Could it be possible as so many love pork. Makes you wonder if something a cultural would do to erase humanity, probably yes as the world is full of hate. Zombies probably not same goes for the water. People are gullible. Story tells you we were fooled. Great book onto the next.

The ARES Virus ran rampant throughout the world, leaving very few remaining. There are no sanctuaries in the midst of the infected, where the very air is contaminated. For the few surviving, the slightest misstep can introduce the viral agent into their midst, bringing an end to the last vestige of humankind. However, there's too much at stake to merely hover in the shadows. Remnants of the navy survive the catastrophe, but humankind has never been able to live for long periods upon the world's oceans.

What would happen if a viral agent was released on American soil? How would local agencies react? How would the military respond? What if it was one of their own? Would they own it or attempt to cover it up? If a major operation was jeopardized because of the release, would that alter any of the decisions? A potent viral agent, created to destabilize a region for forces to move in and clean up, is accidentally spilled in a metropolis. Those infected serve only to afflict others through any means.

Insisting she saw the victim rise from a pool of his own blood to attack the Samaritan rendering aid, Tara floats the idea that the man may have been a zombie.

One of the best well told books I heard and I have listen to a lot. In my top ten and be purchasing next book. Adam did a good job and thank you Shawn telling a story if this could happen how the government would try to hide it until it’s to late. Funny how the CDC and HLS has a plan in place if a Zombie outbreak happens. History of zombies goes back centuries and many different cultures have their own view how they know zombies is a possibility.

They will do anything to be a true dictator over the people and to control you. Why is the answer so this book highlights this. Just be ready for the unknown, we are.
