An extinction-level asteroid, 213 Astraea, is cannonballing toward Earth. Collision, imminent. An international team of scientists is working around the clock to avert the cataclysm - few are optimistic. World governments are preparing for impact with deep earth bio-dome bunkers, but only a select few lottery winners will be saved. Jack Mitchel, a 32-year-old EMT living in a tiny studio apartment on the west coast, isn't one of those winners.

For those looking for a new LitRPG, Viridian Gate Online was pretty good. It has a slight different take on the stuck-in-a-game trope, in that without the game, most people on Earth would die. It's a new beginning that could go anywhere. A new world.

I feel the book was a bit short and didn't conclude solving any major goal. It's the start of a series, so the big questions that were asked in this book will be answered later. I'll just to keep reading to find out what happens.

Like LitRPG? You'll probably like this.
