The Man Booker International Prize, 2016. Before the nightmares began, Yeong-hye and her husband lived an ordinary, controlled life. But the dreams - invasive images of blood and brutality - torture her, driving Yeong-hye to purge her mind and renounce eating meat altogether. It's a small act of independence, but it interrupts her marriage and sets into motion an increasingly grotesque chain of events at home.

Amazing audiobook! Well written, well narrated, full of insight, examples, and organized incredibly well. I'm reminded of brene browns books when I read this, which only makes me love it more. I'm looking forward to when Gretchen Rubin writes another book. Definitely recommend.

What is the meaning of life? It's a question every thoughtful person has pondered at one time or another. Indeed, it may be the biggest question of all-at once profound and universal, but also deeply personal. We want to understand the world in which we live, but we also want to understand how to make our own lives as meaningful as possible; to know not only why we're living, but that we're doing it with intention, purpose, and ethical commitment.

The best great courses yet! The narrator was well spoken, explained each topic concisely, and when the topic could have been difficult, the narrator continued in making the explanation easy to understand. As for each lecture, they were Fantastic with so much to derive from. From ancient text to more modern text, each lecture was engaging. It was a long listen but well worth it, and will listen again in the future. Also it felt like the narrator was unbiased which is something I always look for

Narrated very nicely and very entertaining. I have to say second half, when the author got into the specifics of each cluster, was much more interesting than the first half. Would love to see another great course further diving into each cluster.
