This audiobook is a really fun listen! The writer and narrator both do an excellent job of bringing this world of ancient dragon lords and political power struggle to life. Very rich story and characters. Well done.

Caroline is such a delightful and skillful teacher. She has a unique way of making lofty and complex ideas accessible and grounded at the street level of living. This is very dense and action-packed material that you’ll want to revisit again and again. I can assure you you’ll hear something fresh every time.

I really enjoyed these little windows into the working life of some of my favorite creators throughout history. I also appreciated getting to meet some others I didn’t know prior to this book in this intimate way, and am looking forward to exploring their work soon.

On the one hand, I found it heartening to hear that so many greats struggle with some of the very same fears and blocks. On the other hand, I found it inspiring to hear that others simply made the choice to show up day after day and simply do the work like a job, without worrying about inspiration being ripe or not.

Adam Verner did a marvelous job with the narration, too! His voice and treatment of the text were both spot on. Clearly, he did his homework beforehand; bringing a real sensitivity to the circumstances and personality of each of the creatives depicted in the text.

This is the first book that I have read by Neale Donald Walsch, although I've heard of his books for years. This book is full of simple, yet extremely deep insights about life, God and everything. I dare say that this one book, if its messages are taken to heart and lived out, could indeed change the world. I am now listening to the book that precedes this one, The Storm Before the Quiet, and intend to read (or listen) to all of Walsch's books soon. The messages of this book, while very straightforward and sensible, are radical shifts from consensus reality and will take lots of serious inner work to properly digest and integrate them into my life. I look forward to the journey ahead.
