Ten years after the publication of Wicked, beloved novelist Gregory Maguire returns at last to the land of Oz. There he introduces us to Liir, an adolescent boy last seen hiding in the shadows of the castle after Dorothy did in the Witch. Bruised, comatose, and left for dead in a gully, Liir is shattered in spirit as well as in form. But he is tended at the Cloister of Saint Glinda by the silent novice called Candle, who wills him back to life with her musical gifts.

I purchased this one before reading the reviews. I saw that the writer had narrated the story so I assumed it would be a good listen. I was horribly wrong! The narration was the worst I have ever experienced. I couldn't even finish it. If you haven't already read the book and are interested in the story, then skip the audio book and just read it yourself. You will be much happier if you do. Maguire is a great author but a terrible narrator.

Riyria has taken the number spot on my list of favorite fantasies. Not only was this an amazing story with loveable characters but the narration by Tim Gerard Reynolds was spectacular. I purchased the first installment of this series based on a recommendation from Audible. I am so glad that I did! I was hooked after listening to the first chapter and I immediately purchased the the kindle version of all three books so I could read when I wasn't able to listen. This story has consumed every moment of my spare time for the last 3 months. I was actually sad that I had made it to the end of the story!

Incarceron is a prison so vast that it contains not only cells, but also metal forests, dilapidated cities, and vast wilderness. Finn, a 17-year-old prisoner, has no memory of his childhood and is sure that he came from Outside Incarceron. Very few prisoners believe that there is an Outside, however, which makes escape seems impossible.

An absolutely great story with superior narration. This has been the most enjoyable audiobook I have listened to so far. I am looking forward to listening to the sequel!
