The inspirational classic, More than a Carpenter, is now updated for a new generation of seekers with a fresh look, revised material, and a new chapter that addresses questions commonly raised today. Former skeptic Josh McDowell is now joined by his son Sean as they examine the evidence about Jesus. Is he really the Lord he claimed to be? How can we know for sure? More than a Carpenter offers arguments for faith from a skeptic turned believer.

18 years ago I first read this book. I was an angry young women with a new family & a distrust in everything. This book led me to believe in God's Word. It answered many of my tough questions. It gave me facts I could study myself & it wasn't so big that it intimidated or overwhelmed me. I found that I could trust God, His Word, Spirit & finally His Son, Jesus the Christ. Since then, God has transformed me & given me a passion to share Him with others. I often use this book as a reference in my classes. I thank God for using people like Josh McDowell to teach others that God can be trusted, that we don't have to have blind faith & that Jesus really came for us. I can't say enough about this book. Students stay interested in it, adults find time for it. It's brief (relatively) but in depth. The chapters can stand alone, making it easy to take a portion at a time.
