The Dyslexia Empowerment Plan
- A Blueprint for Renewing Your Child's Confidence and Love of Learning
- By: Ben Foss
- Narrated by: Ben Foss
- Length: 10 hrs and 45 mins
While other books tell you what dyslexia is, this book tells you what to do. Dyslexics' innate skills, which may include verbal, social, spatial, kinesthetic, visual, mathematical, or musical abilities, are their unique key to acquiring knowledge. Figuring out where their individual strengths lie, and then harnessing these skills, offers an entrée into learning and excelling. And by keeping the focus on learning, not on standard reading the same way everyone else does, a child with dyslexia can and will develop the self-confidence to flourish in the classroom and beyond.
First book on dyslexia of its kind

Being an educator for 20 years in the private and public sector I have had several different types of students. I have experienced all the highs and lows an educator could possibly have. However, having a child that was diagnosed(really identified) with having the traits of Dyslexia was a whole new thing for me. I by nature an educator and researcher have searched for years trying to help educate my daughter(1 of 4 children) in the way that was best for her. Time and time again I was coming up short, I was confused by the way that she learns and frankly both of us were hating the word learning, and school time. The thought of sitting down to read a book or do math was excruciating and was to the point of both her and I avoiding as much school/educational work as possible. This book has changed my life and hers. This book has given me knowledge and a power house of tools to help my daughter regain the love of learning and knowledge. I have shared this with many of my family members and fellow educators and this has changed the course for many all in a positive manner that is helping so many regain the LOVE of learning. So very thankful to Dr. Ben Foss for the gift of this book!!!!!
