I had read the first book in The Brotherhood Series but not listened to it, so I was delighted to listen to all three books in the boxed set. All three books open a window on the lives and moirés of the Regency period as seen through the eyes of three men who are no longer human but, through a curse of fate, are now vampires, damned by all and forced to live in isolation. In listening to each book of the boxed set, I truly felt the main characters' gamut of emotions, from soulless loneliness and despair, deepening to hate and grave fear, then rising to acceptance and passion, and finally, to happiness and the sheer joy of true love. The ending to the third book was NOT expected but was a WONDERFUL way to end the book and series.

Kylie Stewart did a fantastic job as the narrator. Even over several days of listening to the three books, my attention and enjoyment never wavered. Ms. Stewart's rendition of the stories as well as her varied voices for all the characters and their heightened emotions made the books a joy to listen to.

The author, Adele Clee, has written a fantastic, heart-pounding series with these three books and Kylie Stewart's talent as narrator, brought out the best in each book.

I received a copy of the boxed set from Audible. I truly enjoyed listening to the complete set. This is my voluntary and unbiased review.

What You Desire by Adele Clee is a heart-touching Regency romance and mystery that ends in a beautiful happily-ever-after. The book includes plenty of intrigue and danger (with a despicable villain!) along with true romance and well-written love scenes. It kept me eagerly listening to the end. I definitely recommend this book!

Mary Phillips did an excellent job as the narrator using different character voices that truly suited the characters and bringing out the characters' emotions. Her pacing was good, not too fast or too slow.

A Curse of the Heart by Adele Clee, is an interesting Regency romance that differs from the norm. A possible Egyptian curse in a new museum in Regency England brings the hero and heroine together. Neither care for the other initially but, eventually, come to care for each other very much. There are enough twists and turns and love scenes to make the book an enjoyable read. The mystery part was done very well- not an obvious ending.

Kylie Stewart narrated A Curse of the Heart. She did a good job, both in her different voices and word inflection.

Adele Clee has delivered a FANTASTIC story of love, passion, danger and mystery. This is one of my FAVORITE books of hers and kept me up all night just to finish!

The hero, Daniel Thorpe, and heroine, Daphne Chambers, have a past history that keeps them apart. But when Daphne finds danger stalking her, she turns to Daniel for help. In keeping her safe and solving the mystery, Daniel and Daphne fall deeply in love despite many obstacles.

This was an excellent story with lots of action and danger as well as a blossoming love story with a terrific HEA.

Liisa Ivary narrated it well. She did a good job of using several voices to make the different characters more "real".

For a romantic, swoon-worthy experience, listen to The Daring Miss Darcy!

I LOVED The Daring Miss Darcy! Not only are a well-written mystery and a delicious romance intertwined throughout the plot, but it is a VERY touching book. Adele Clee brings her characters to life so believably that you feel as if you know them personally.

The narrator, Liisa Ivary, did a VERY good job with differentiating all the character voices and adding feeling to the scenes.

Lord Ross Sandford, Marquis of Trevane, is a bitter, angry, shell of a man compared to the man he was eight years ago. That was before the love of his life, Lady Estelle Darcy, ran away after promising to marry him and then perished in a shipwreck off the coast of France.

Having been told Estelle has been seen alive, he goes on a quest to find her, even though he knows it is a useless endeavor. Not only useless, it brings his heartache and pain to the forefront and he suffers all the more for it.

Then he and Estelle do find each other! Ross cannot believe she ran from him and wants to know WHY. For reasons of her own, Estelle does not want to tell him. Eventually, she tells him everything which only deepens the mystery and increases the danger surrounding them.

You will NOT be disappointed with this GREAT book. At the end, Ross acts in a SELFLESS and HEROIC manner, giving us a truly romantic, swoon-worthy ending! I highly recommend it!

The Mysterious Miss Flint is the first book in Adele Clee's Lost Ladies of London Regency series. It is a true delight to read as well as to listen to!

The unique plot along with both its endearing characters and loathsome villains draw you into the story immediately. Mystery, heart-felt emotions, true love, humor, and passion are interspersed throughout the story with suspense, action, fear and danger, making it a definite page turner.

The HEA is both satisfying and romantic. The villains receive their just rewards for their villainy and hero, Oliver Darby, Earl of Stanton, and heroine, Nicole Flint, go from being wary strangers, to friends, and finally to two people deeply in love.

Since the story takes place in and around Regency London, England, Liisa Ivary's British accent enriches the narration and the feel of realism and setting. Ms. Ivary does a good job varying her voice for male and female characters.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Regency romance and who appreciates reading/listening to a WELL-WRITTEN STORY full of great dialogue, mystery, and passion.
