I’ve enjoyed every story, every pithy comment and every novella in this series. I’m a huge fan of Zara Ramm, she’s added another level to each story. I love how each story is written about a specific time in history and enjoy the details about the preparation each historian requires to be able to time travel.

The Ooken thought they upset a small but tough set of aliens. They had no idea the level of pain Bethany Anne was willing to bring. You don’t hurt Bethany Anne’s people, because the gloves come off and get destroyed, never to be placed back on again. The children have had to grow up, and quickly. Will they handle the new responsibilities that come with their new bodies? Or will the experiment fail?  War is coming. Who will be the victor? Each side believes they know enough, but Bethany Anne gets a stark reminder that the fog of war cuts both ways.

I’ve been a fan of Bethany Anne for two years. I’ve purchased every Audible book and have loudly recommended this series. HOWEVER The Kurtherian Endgame series was a disappointment to me. Please keep in mind these are my opinions and truly only matter to me. I feel as if each of these last four books were thrown together. They were all a formula. Show BA have her say some crap, throw in Michael. Kids show up and by the way since the author is uncomfortable writing about kids let’s let them grow up. Continue the major conflict from the previous book and suddenly wrap it up .and this resolution SUCKED. It basically boiled down to a paragraph.i feel as if I’ve left to many spoilers already. I only loved the first seven or so of the Kurtherian Gambit series. I guess I continued purchasing hoping for the enjoyment I first felt. I don’t think that I will feel that anymore. I read one author’s opinion that long series’ can not continue. After seeing the Kurtherian Gambit and the direction that Michael Anderle has left the story to other authors, I have to agree.

There are always scourges in the universe. This time, they found the wrong prey. Bethany Anne is trying to ignore that Michael is out hunting a beast to bring back 10 tons of meat when she gets an unexpected call. The group of friends hanging out on New Devon have come up with a devious way to protect their client's money, while building a fortune by outsourcing their jobs. Will Bethany Anne take high Tortuga to war? The children work to make something special for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, it comes with an unexpected adventure.

I’ve listened/read to 40 odd books in this series. Unfortunately something that started out as fun and interesting has turned into a huge commercial operation instead of a GREAT series. I’ve personally recommended this series many, many times in other book groups that have thousands of readers. I don’t think I’m going to anymore. I feel as if I’m being taken advantage of as a consumer and a fan (former?). For example story lines are dragggggging on. Not for pages, for freaking books. The past two books spent a LOT of time and space about Michael and a dinosaur. Two full books discussing it for page after page and NOTHING happened in TWO books. That’s $28 to me of my piddling Social Security check. I just read some of the very unhappy comments about the next book. Michael finally meets the damn dinosaur. I’m supposed to spend ANOTHER $14 to hear he finally meets the damn dinosaur. This is a complete waste of an actual story. Micheal Anderle if you’re bored with the characters please kill them like every other author does. Please don’t bore the character and the fans to death.

I was given a credit (that didn’t work, I probably messed it up) to leave a review. After saying that I also want to say that these books were well worth the money I paid for them. It was the first four books in the Age of Expansion series and it was a great story..Hardly any cursing compared to KG, I actually wondered if Michael Anderle was part of this story line. I realized the entire solar system can not have potty mouths so Michael did contribute. The character development was well done and the plot was intriguing. I want to know more about these characters and their world. The characters did bring up Bethany Anne but only discussed that she used to be the empress nothing about how or where she was. Julianna was an associate of BA, I found it strange that more info was not supplied. We were aware of Julianna’s thoughts and no info. The narrator was good. He used a number of scratchy voices to distinguish between characters. I occasionally had to take a break, I found it a little annoying. That of course is just my opinion, you might enjoy. Give this a listen , I hope that you enjoy it as much As I did.

I’m actually feeling confused after reading this. This was actually a very emotional book. I’m not used to feeling sad after reading books in this series. I’m never pleased when key characters die but I’m not the author , I better get over myself. I think the biggest thing about this book is I feel as if it wasn’t finished. After reading this I actually have more questions. Nothing was resolved from the book before this, key characters died, secondary characters died. I am conflicted and half angry. Not in make the author laugh way. I’m angry in the frustrated enough to stop reading way.
