Thirty-four years ago, on October 31, poor Hannah Talbott took part in a scavenger hunt gone violently wrong. The mean girls made sure of it. To this day, for a haunted local mother, the most unsettling Halloween costume of all is an urban legend they call Hannah-Beast. It’s a reminder of the past she can’t forget. Especially tonight when it’s come back, so close to home.

Cute story but the narrator’s voice grated on my nerves. This is the first book I have read in the series and I was a bit lost. I think it works better if you have read the others. I can “believe “ a cat that can talk, read and write but I just can’t get behind a cat that has it’s own cell phone and texts. That’s just too far for me. If you like cutesy stories then you will love this book.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out. This author is the best horror writer in my opinion and the narrator never disappoints.

The first thing that you should know about this book is that you will know the age of every single character in it because the author makes a point of telling you that. I think there are some sentence structure errors in this. The story is just OK. I could’ve stopped listening in the middle and not really cared about how it ended. I did listen to the entire book. It was decent, but not great. The narrator is fine and did a decent job. Over all, I could take it or leave it.
