Unfortunately when I was young and inexperienced I was a conspiracy theorist…. Everyone loves conspiracy theories, and even now I wanted to see if Jesse had any conspiracies of actual value. As a veteran I want to say Jesse had honorable service and I highly respect his service... But Jesse went weird and has been far removed for a long time, he went into a different life path and now claims ridiculous out of his mind conspiracies... To get yourself tuned up a little bit on how con artists work- Do yourself a favor- watch Don Shipley bust fake Navy Seals on his channel! You will see that the B.S. both Jesse and Fake seals have no evidence and claim--"It's Classified, It's Classified, It's the government, you won't find evidence because it's Classified"..... Sound Familiar???? What is hilarious is Jesse was an Elite Navy Seal with T.S. Clearance and a Governor.... And he comes up with conspiracies about "they" or the "Elites"... If an elite warrior with T.S. Clearance and a Governor doesn't have access to this elusive "the government" conspiracy knowledge then you really have to consider the source of these ridiculous "the government" conspiracies... Talk to anyone with a T.S. Clearance and we all laugh at Jesse's ridiculous theories... As a law enforcement officer who teaches classes on con artist games - It is a well established fact that the easiest people to fool into a con game are those without first hand knowledge and experience.... Anyone who cannot EASILY tell his show is staged within 2 minutes is completely blind... Take a lesson from all these people fooled by these fake navy seals--- Its always easiest to fool people without the inside experience. Jesse's followers are the same types of people who are fooled by Bill Brockbrader …. The stories that Phony Navy Seals spew are more believable than the B.S. Conspiracies Jessie claims to 'investigate'. Jesse's followers are not people with T.S. clearance who are in the know.... His followers are people who don't have first hand insider knowledge... They are less intelligent than the people who are fooled by the phony Navy Seals...

Marc Summers really let me down on this one. I am a full time law enforcement officer, and Medic in the Army Reserves and I am a fan of his book "Declare war on yourself" Which is 95% of the reason I checked this book out. I had High hope that I may find something to add to my classes.

I teach classes involving interpersonal communication skills with people and I have plenty of experience in this area.

Marc Summers basically takes the approach that as long as you cause emotional events (good or bad) with women, along with "be a bad boy" and have confidence, you can have most of women. He thinks women cannot help who they fall in love with.

He sites an incident in a bar in which he takes the hand of a woman and says "come with me" and her being so impressed with this.

While confidence can go a long way, it is definitely not everything. It's an all too common a mistake to believe confidence is everything.

I am surrounded by extremely confident "bad boy" criminals all the time. While many people may fall for this crap, I don't and I don't respect people who fall for confidence alone. I can say with 100% certainty that the world contains tons of very confident idiots, fools, and disgusting filth bags.

Do some women fall for confident bad boys? No Doubt about it... but is it really a good idea to start a relationship under that façade?

Women who fall for these antics alone are DEFINITELY not marriage material. Having more than a decade of reading people, I can spot the women Marc talks about. I personally would not date any women who would fall for Marc's stupid nonsense, as these same women will likely fall for any guy who can demonstrate these same antics. Any woman who would fall for these antics will have a high likelihood of being taken away when your "bad boy" mysterious façade wears off and a new horny "bad boy" comes in and uses the same "bad boy" confident antics that worked when you did the same thing on her last time

Marc also warns to make sure you wash your @$$hole because some women he has met and taken home lick his @$$hole.... If taking some woman home and having her lick your @ss doesn't prove Marc and his women are whores, please tell me what the meaning of whore is.

If you are a male whore looking for a female whore this is your book. These tactics will work on whores.

If you would like a quality women you can be 100% real with in a long term relationship, this book is absolutely bad advice.

Author does all kinds mental gymnastics to justify 'we will do whatever it takes to survive!" If you are one of the idiots who call themselves a "prepper" and think that in shtf scenario doing "whatever it takes " which may include robbing, kidnapping, or murder and it's all fine because there are no rules....
I encourage all those "do whatever it takes to survive" people to please do humanity a favor.... jump off a cliff now...Real preppers prepare to become part of the solution ... real preppers are ready to put down the rabid dogs that think they can rob, kidnap, or murder....

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Prepper novels can be good, but they can also go off on wild tangents. Like this one.

EMP probability? reasonable.

EMP followed by an attacking army? very improbable

If an EMP hits it would be a terrible move to attack right away and any general would know this. If you can not figure out why I am not going to reveal why.

Other than this, way to much weird jerry springer love stories and not enough prepper lessons.

What disappointed you about Uncertain World?

After reading the first book and being disappointed in the lack of food for thought after an EMP and the endless, pointless talk about sex. I was hoping the author spent some time in his bathroom and got that out of his system .... maybe in this one he would some real food for thought….. I was even more disappointed at the “Hollywood” ideas in this book. Any average person who takes 5 minutes to think about what an EMP would do to a country probably get more lessons on how to prepare than in this book.

I personally do not like when prepper authors go on wild tangents of “what if” and “wild eyed possibilities”. People in the realistic world deal with probabilities, not possibilities. Lets face it, theoretically anything is possible. It’s possible you will be eaten by a dinosaur, it’s possible that you have a forgotten rich dying uncle with an underwater house filled with gold that he desperately wants to give you if only he can find you, and it’s possible that are not reading this review at all, you could have been abducted by aliens and put into a matrix like simulation, the list goes on forever.

*spoiler alert*

In this story line the bad guy on trial for murder escaped last book and ran away to Texas. The main character also ran to Texas to find his daughter involved in a plane crash. The Bad guy literally takes over the town and sheriff’s department INCLUDING DEPUTIES by shooting the sheriff in the back and when the deputies barricade themselves in a back room he gets them to come out by shooting a mother and then threatening to shoot the dead woman’s daughter. Then when the deputies come out the bad guy starts giving orders and the deputies become his followers because the bad guy will now “butter their bread” plus the deputies are afraid of him.

Now a 100% guarantee that there are people who believe this storyline is not only possible but probable. These people already have ridiculous ideas in their mind about law enforcement that no amount of evidence will ever change, so it's pointless to argue with them. Unfortunately when I was much younger I was a conspiracy theorist- I had no real world facts or experience I would have believed this to.

Now that I don’t live in the land of make believe, I study real cases of how officers are turned. I even teach new officers on the subject, and teach how not to get turned. Real people go “shields up” when they find someone quickly threatening and especially when the bad guy harms someone or threatens them. A person who comes in quickly and starts threatening might get compliance temporarily, but the compliant party will turn on them when given the chance.

Real people take time to turn. Real people take time, it takes a certain amount of finesse for them to be convenced eventually to switch sides. Real life is not a ridiculous Hollywood movie, shoot a sheriff, shoot a mother, and then people instantly switch over from good guy to bad guy and let you control them even when you are not watching them, real life simply doesn’t work that way. There is so many things wrong with this ridiculous scenario, no one who studies this subject would ever give this author any credibility. In real life the officers would wait until they got their guns back, waited for the bad guy to turn his back or go to sleep. This scenario would ONLY be believed by inexperienced people who like to talk every "what if" and 'possibilities".... Those people should prepare for a dinosaur invasion, because that is possible too....

The bad guy who is supposed to be smart also puts lone individuals on the country road to collect tolls (such as horses the locals are riding). The bad guy tells the toll collectors that country folk are pushovers and they will all pay the tolls. This is an obvious attempt by the author to get all the country people inflamed at the bad guy. Oh yes, city folk are rough and tough behind their cubicles, and all the country fold who work the land, hunt, and fish, yes- they are the weak pushovers… Really??

Then the bad guy claims the only person who can stop him is the out of town lawyer… REALLY????? So in a whole town full of country people, the only person with a hunting rifle who has the hunting patience to wait for a distance shot at the bad guy, is the main character?…. Wow… no Hollywood ideas here….

People like stories they can relate to, usually authors like to write about subjects that they have personal experience with. After hearing this author I am quite convinced he is no lawyer, and if he was ever a medic he needs to learn more skills. His books are not too enlightening, If you want a good EMP book- lights out. If you want good general prepper lessons, most of JW Rawles Books.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

As a former army medic and currently law enforcement I had high hopes for this book series. The main Character is a former army medic currently a prosecutor.I like books that make you consider the probabilities of what need to be prepared for in XYZ scenario. This book has way to much blah, blah, blah about sex and the afterward thoughts about sex with his rival defense attorney.Trying to find good seats on an airplane after boarding? When is the last time this author flew?Carrying his rival attorney home on his shoulder for miles with an AK47 in one hand with her unconscious the whole trip, then she wakes up when she is home and doesn’t have any fainting spells, and proceeds to have sex with him? Mmmm doubtful, but whatever. The book does proceed to talk about a bit of a bike ride someone offers him $1,000 for the bike and he declines- I will give him that- everyone would want the bike or old vehicle.... but an AK47 slung across your back while riding a bike would make you a big juicy target to a perp who wants an AK.... If you don't know how easy it is to take out a person on a bike even when unarmed, then I am not going to teach some perp by posting it... Riding a bike with an AK slung across your back only sounds cool to people entertained by Hollywood ideas...You want a better series about EMP? Lights out, or everyone of Rawles books except the first one.

Would you try another book from Bobby Akart and/or Kevin Pierce?

After the first book I was hopeful... This hope came crashing down in this book.

With over a decade in law enforcement it's very clear that anyone can justify anything they do...
If you are one of the typical people who justify anything they do, if you are one of the cow herd of drones who say "do whateva you have to do to thurvive" as if it's some kind of enlightened statement then this is absolutely your book.

This family of 'Christians' lie cheat and deceive a young weak minded teen into giving them guns from his step fathers safe because their hot teenage daughter tricks him into it using her feminine wiles.

They loot from houses and then they talk about other families and say "I don't trust them, then in a dramatic town meeting they call out other people who loot houses"

This author will undoubtedly be able to justify himself just like every other hypocrite.

If you act like the bad guys, how are you different than a bad guy? If you act no different than every other cow heard selfish looter then how are you any different than any other piece of crap looter?

If you act like a tax collector or gentile how are you any different than them???

Matthew 5:46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same? 47And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?

What disappointed you about The Art of Mental Training?

As a law enforcement officer I am very used to being lied to... Being military and in MMA for almost 2 decades I am familiar with so many bull crap stories it's not even funny. When the Author starts out with his mystical Asian master who calls him "Danielson" and continues that this mysterious teacher vanishes without a trace of him ever existing... I was reminded of the NUMEROUS B.S. Martial arts stories that have been exposed as frauds... Then he continues that he made a possible connection with this mysterious mater years later after his master died and a physic ran into him at a convention...
i have been in the military, currently law enforcement and MMA for a long time. I can tell you the biggest frauds and stolen valor cases are often martial arts teachers and fare arms instructors...
I wrote this review on Amazon and got a very quick response from someone claiming to have known the author claiming to want to set the record straight... The "friend" gave an obvious a copy and paste bio of all the things this author supposedly did.. How often are you sitting at home waiting to immediately respond to your friend's book negative book reviews??? Never?? Oh and should I mention his "friend" went by a vague alias, not by his real name... It doesn't take a genius to figure out who this "friend" really was...
This is exactly what many stolen valor cases do, and I am more convinced than before that this guy is a fraud...
Then my review was deleted... It's the only Amazon review that was ever deleted.... Well he can't have my Audible review deleted!!!

The author clearly has the experience, and obviously articulates what charities work, and which ones hurt...
