When you hear the word stalker you immediately know that there is going to be problems. What causes a person to become a stalker? Basically it is some sort of obsession with a person. But why that particular person? Is it something they said or something they did? Were they extra nice and you took it to mean something else? Is there any way to stop a stalker or do they just stop on their own? Can you persuade the stalker to change their ways or is this something that is just going to have to play out? What do you do?

Abigal Wilson is a divorcee who is trying to get back into the dating scene, with a teenaged daughter to boot.  Her daughter, Kendall, is constantly fighting with her about every little thing. Her biggest fight is about the man she is dating, Brent. Kendall doesn't like Brent and Abby isn't listening because she is in love. Abby and Brent have date night one night and afterwards he tells her that they need to have a talk. The bomb he drops on her knocks her off her feet. She is resistant to accept his words and she decided to investigate what he told her. What Abigal finds out crushes her heart but she is not going to leave it at that. She will NOT be treated like this and if she is unhappy, everybody is going to be unhappy! Who if anybody will come out the victor? How will this change the lives of everybody involved?

Stalker, just by the title you can tell it is going to be drama. Whenever you read a Brenda Hampton book you know you are going to get a good story that will keep you on the hook until the last word and then some! This book has the energy that you need so that you will read until it is finished. I am reviewing the Audible version because just looking at the title I knew that this version would have me on the edge of my seat with my mouth agape! The narrator, Patricia Floyd, did not disappoint with this novel. You find yourself talking back and pausing the reading so that you can gather yourself. I loved this book and I certainly am never disappointed when it comes to Hampton. Kudos again on another great novel!

Angel ~ a spiritual being superior to humans in power and intelligence. Do you believe in angels on earth? We have all said that when a loved one passes away that they are watching over us but is it possible to have a guardian angel? We all have met someone where their actions just made us think, “Wow where did he/she come from? They were right on time!” Is it just good luck or do we have a higher power looking out for our well-being?

Savannah Graham is a happily married woman, or so she thought. She has had some recent tragedies in her life that she thought she would never bounce back from, but she did. Then the ultimate betrayal happened and she just knew life as she knew it was over. How can she bounce back from this latest tragedy or will this be her downfall?

Ollie Moss was happily married for over 50 years to his beloved Elizabeth. When illness took Elizabeth from Ollie he didn’t think he would survive without her. He has his children and grandchildren but there is nothing like your wife to have by your side. Will Ollie get through this or will he succumb to the sadness?

Anna Rodriguez is a housekeeper at the famous Markham Hotel. She is a hard-working single mother of three and she does everything for them within her power. Anna has been such a help to so many others but who is around when she needs help?

The Book in Room 316 is a book about faith. It is about having your faith tested, losing faith and trying to get it back. The story is told from the views of the different characters trying to see if there is any way that they can be helped and help themselves. There is a six degree of separation feel going on because they will all cross paths at some point in this book. Reading this books makes you question the characters and yourself. You are thinking “Could something like that happen to me?” I love books that make you talk to the characters or ask questions of yourself. I love Billingsley work and she doesn’t disappoint with this one. This is a book for everyone, great job!

The world will never be the same! Get ready for something new, bold, sexy, and highly addictive! Stephen C. Jefferson and the first lady are prepared to pull you right into the mix. This is a new era, and things in the United States are not what they used to be. The man who now holds the keys to the Oval Office was born and raised in the rough streets of St. Louis, where he discovered how to silence his enemies by wielding knowledge and power.

What did you love best about Black President?

I loved the fact that he is NOT predictable. Stephen C. Jefferson is one man who you will not figure out, just when you think he is going to do one thing he is going the other direction.

What did you like best about this story?

It is not your typical story. You have to use your imagination to try to figure out which way it is going.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Raynetta is my favorite.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was great listening and it made you be able to visualize the characters.

Any additional comments?

Being the President of the United States takes a lot of smarts and heart.  There are things that POTUS will undergo that regular people will never have to.  Once you get in office if you don't show the world that you aren't scared they will eat you alive and then you will be known as a has been.  How do you go about showing the world that you have earned your title?  Do you go along to get along or do you come out like gangbusters and take the world in your hands?

Stephen C. Jefferson is a no nonsense type of guy.  He is all about business and has no filter.  Once Stephen won the presidency he decided to get started on his agenda that he ran on and anyone who showed that they weren't loyal was out of the picture.  If you weren't on Team Jefferson you weren't on any team at all.  Involved with his team was his mother and his wife, Raynetta and they weren't exempt from being put off the team.  The one thing is for sure is when Stephen C. Jefferson puts his mind to something he is going to go ahead with it and anyone trying to stop him better beware!

Black President: The World Will Never Be The Same is a book filled with drama!  Clearly from the title you can see that we have another black president but the difference between the two you will see immediately!  The characters will keep you laughing in-between telling them what you think they should or shouldn't do.  You are reading but it feels like you are watching them on tv and that makes for good reading.  Hampton shows you how a novel is supposed to be written and I always look forward to her next read.

Black President: The World Will Never Be The Same is available everywhere you find your favorite novels, Kindle, Audible and Nook book.

Nowadays everyone is looking for something to believe in whether it is spiritual or something tangible just as long as it is something to make everything alright. What happens when that something that you are putting all your trust and faith in isn’t the real thing? Do you continue to believe or do you rebel against everything?

Nye Hempstead and her husband Gregory have a very successful church. Nye has a gift from God where she can see what he wants her to reveal to others, some may call her a prophet. Gregory is her co-pastor and he is great in his own right but Nye’s gift has helped many people in her church. When that gift fails to give some the desired result, how will that play out for her followers? Will they continue to follow Nye? Will this affect the church? Will this affect her ministry that she and her husband had made plans for? Is this something that she can bounce back from or will she and her church suffer?

The Pastor’s Husband is a book about standing by your spouse through the good and the bad. How we deal with people when we know that they are true and genuine until we discover that they aren’t. Warren writes this novel so that you know and understand everyone’s viewpoint and feel like you are watching this on the screen. The characters compliment each other and the story is smooth flowing. I enjoyed reading this novel and I look forward to reading more from this author.

The Pastor’s Husband is available in various markets including Kindle, paperback, hardback, audible and Nook.
