This book is so much more than you would expect from just reading the blurb. But are we surprised? This is Mia Sheridan we are talking about here. Mia's writing is superb, as we have come to expect from her. The narrators were outstanding, they did the characters justice and brought them to life. Within minutes of the beginning, I was laughing out loud in public. The story takes you across several phases of Grace and Carson's lives. You will experience the entire range of emotions while you go on the journey with them. Your heart with break, rejoice, and travel between the two several times. The secondary characters are developed beautifully, and add depth to the story. Mia Sheridan is quickly becoming an automatic 1-click author. Once you experience her work, you'll find this to be true also.

I was nervous that the sequel wouldn't live up to the first, but this not only met my expectations but completely exceeded them.

Tijan's writing is excellent. The narrator is the same as the first and she did an awesome job. They added a second narrator for Carter's chapters, and even though I almost always love the dual narration, I didn't feel that it was necessary for this book. The male narrator didn't detract from the story, he was good. But his voice didn't necessarily enhance the listening experience either.

The storyline itself was unexpected. The book picks up where the first installment leaves off. The twists and turns that this story throws at you leaves you on the edge of your seat and waiting for the next curve. The background gives insight to the questions you didn't realize you had during the first book. Carter is Carter, fiercely protective of Emma and all entails. Emma progresses and becomes a more developed character than when we met her before. I greatly enjoyed this book, dare I say almost more than the first.

My name is Colton Calloway. You've heard part of my story, but it turns out there's more. My little girl, Kylie, is all grown up. Seventeen, beautiful, and talented, just like her mother. And just like Nell, my daughter seems to have fallen for a bad boy, one with a lot of darkness and a lot of secrets.

I was hesitant to pick up this book, as I wasn't sure if I wanted to revisit Colt and Nell and experience their daughter's story. I was SO wrong. I shouldn't have waited. Even the blurb says "you think you know, but you have no idea" and that couldn't be more accurate. Colt and Nell are present, but they have a rather limited part in the story. I absolutely LOVED Kylie and Oz. I loved how the book was written from Oz and Colt's POV. The conflicts were both expected and will completely blind side you. Again, Jasinda Wilder tackles difficult subjects with so much grace that it leaves you a little bit staggered. I 100% recommend this book while you continue on through the series.

The narrators were excellent. There were separate narrators for Oz, Kylie, and Colt. They were all strong and did a great service to the characters. Especially the narrator for Oz.

Where does For You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This could have been a 5 star rating for me had it not been for the narrator and editing of the audiobook. I listened to the audiobook mostly via bluetooth in my car, and the editing and gaps between the narrator speaking was extremely distracting. The narrator herself was very monotone and I had trouble following along with who was speaking at any given point in the book.

The book itself was great. I loved the characters, even though February drove me a little crazy at first. I enjoyed the suspense and the developing story around the events throughout the book. The secondary characters were exceptional, which I have come to expect from a Kristen Ashley story. I highly recommend the book, just maybe not the audible version.

I've been humiliated, shut out, and gossiped about all through high school. His pranks and rumors got worse as time wore on. I even went to Europe for a year, just to avoid him. But I'm done hiding from him now, and there's no way I'll allow him to ruin another year. He might not have changed, but I have. It's time to fight back.

I sat on this book a long time, not really looking forward to reading it. I was soooo wrong. The Narrator was excellent. It took me a while to get used to her, especially the way her voice is kind of breathy when she narrates the non-dialogue parts. But she brought these characters to life and the story was better for it.

The story itself brought out all the whole gamut of feelings: angst, anger, sadness, joy, excitement. The book is extremely well written and I liked the authors writing style. I highly recommend and look forward to the other books in the series.

Can I get a WOW accompanied by a HOLY F?

We all know that you can swoon over fictional characters but seriously Kristen Ashley? Luke Stark is a GOD among fictional characters. There are women right now comparing the men in their real lives to him. Good god… this book!

I have to admit that at first, I didn't quite care for Ava. I found myself yelling out loud “oh come on, woman” (a la Tex) more so than I had at any previous Rock Chick heroine. I thankfully got over it probably a quarter of the way through (not the yelling, but I softened towards her quite a bit).

I liked how she was relate-able, more so than some of the other RC heroines.
I liked how she struggled with herself, not understanding herself currently as she is mentally stuck in the person she perceived she was before.
I loved the history between Ava and Luke.
I loved the old fashion parking lot throw down.

Alright, alright. I just down right loved Luke Stark! The glimpses, bits and pieces that we saw of him leading up to Rock Chick Revenge were sweet, touching and kick a**. Nothing compared to what we got of him in this book.

I also really love how you don’t lose track of the other characters as you move through the series. They are all up in each other’s business and there is no chance to forget about them, and this is really special. I haven’t found another series that pulls this off to such a degree, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch.

So, thank you Kristen Ashley for giving us such amazing characters. As much as they can get on your ever-loving last nerve, it is a bunch of people that you fall in love with during this literary journey.
