What an interesting story! A woman finds her wishes coming true - and irreversible. Listen yourself for an unforgettable story.

This is the first book I remember listening too by Angela Dawe. It moved listening to an audiobook into a whole new level for me. She reads with such attention to detail that even the details of conversation became clear as I listened. She captures the emotions of each character as I felt they would be expressed.

This is a great story of love, (of course!), friendship, families, parents and adoption.

This is written from Nadine’s point of view and takes her from sophomore year of high school through age 70.

It’s language and storyline are clean. No foul language, sex scenes or talk, no drugs. It has a few references to faith (in God), prayer and their priests. I found this a joy and a blessing.

The story was quite different - a woman who had been repeatedly raped by three drunken Nazis, escaped to England. The home where she was directed turned out to be a brothel! (For those who might need to know, the rape scene is relatively short and handled without much drama.)

The woman turns out to be pregnant. She and a friend move to Briton on the Sea where they stay thru the end of the war. Elise, the now mother teaches French, the other Woman is a ladies maid. They are relatively happy and are in a good place.

On the day she had escaped to England, Elise had rendered first aid to a British soldier whose plane had been shot down. He had schooled her when upon meeting he told her she was his “Soul Mate”. It is the theme of being soul mates which is the theme of this book.

The narration was very disappointing for a professional book. It does not appear to have been edited. The narrator repeats sentences, seems to lose her place so there are blank places, and poorly switches voices for other parts. At one point the four year old is introduced to the British soldier (the one who believed in soul mates and the one for whom Elise had given first-aid). Chloe, the child, sounds like a middle schooler rather than a child of four.

Overall, had I known about the narration, I probably would not have chosen this book.

A delightful story (beginning of no-cliffhangers trilogy) that sees our time travelers back to the time of the revolutionary war. Interesting! Something I especially enjoyed was Emily taking part in activities as she did. I didn’t care for her as a character - unusual for me! - but she was too often outspoken and rude.

I really enjoyed this romance. The stories (two were happening at once) had more substance to them than is usual in Amish stories. It began when a young woman, dressed in Goth, entered the cafe her mother and sisters ran. She’d just been told how she was rescued from the river 18 years earlier. She was one of three active toddlers who pulled away when their mother tried to get them inside when a storm started. Her true mother thought she was dead.

Because of this daughter coming back in her life, and a stubborn and selfish attitude on the part of her Bishop, the mother is forced to come before the church and make a public confession. The bishop insists she sell the building her cafe is in! I’ll not spoil the conclusion for you. Just know it’s a charming book with a happy ending!

especially the “f#%+” word. I think I would have enjoyed this story. It’s the first book by Emma Chase I’ve read. The pace and flow of this book were good, but I just couldn’t get past the poor & unnecessary language. It offended me. Cally & Garret’s behavior and language at school was not cool. Inappropriate and lacking maturity. The thing I really enjoyed was Ms Chase’s characterizations. What terrific people she created!

What a tremendous and touching testimony this was! I was charmed by the realistic dialogue, descriptions as Aaron relayed to Elizabeth the stories of their family Bible, and the way the story was brought to a close. Well written!

This totally confused me in that the cover shown, and the title GOTT’S WILL have little or nothing to do with the story.

It’s a book about a magical man who needs his shield repaired. Issa, a female very talented blacksmith, is asked to do the needed repairs. When she doesn’t reply quickly enough, he “Magic’s” her and takes her to his home.

The story is about her time there and the relationship they forge.

This story seemed to me to be unrealistic in the responses of people to the situations in which Abraham put them.

His relationship with Sarah moved much too fast. I would think it would have scared Abraham when Sarah told him she’d come with him.

Perhaps you’ll be surprised by the ending of this story. I was.

Mail-order bride books have always intrigued me. The concept of a woman leaving her home and the people in her life to travel across country, marry a man she didn’t really know. And live often in relative seclusion for the rest of her life, is bewildering to me.

This groom seemed special. A godly man. A man who put her second only to God was refreshing! I don’t want to spoil the book for you, afraid I’ll say too much. SoI’ll not comment about his time on the trail nor the stranger he meets. Just know you’ll enjoy this story.

Suitable for all ages.
