I am listening to “Leaving Time” for the third time. I rarely listen to a book more than once, but I recommended to my son, who does not usually enjoy fiction., and can usually guess the mystery. I told him he would not be able to guess the ending in this book. I decided to listen to it again and am enjoying it even more the third time. I’m able to get even more details. My all time favourite is Wuthering Heights, so my bar is high!!! I love the intricacies of the story, the details, but nothing extra put in as “filler”. It moves quickly and is very hard to put down, even the third time through. I also recommended it to my daughter, who loved it. I knew from the first few words of the book that she and I would love it because of the descriptions of elephants. When the #Audible1 contest was announced, I decided this was the book I would review. The narrators are wonderful! Each one so perfect for their roles. I am not a book critic, and don’t write well myself, but if I were, I think I would have been very proud to have written a book of this calibre. Jodi Picoult is a favourite author of mine, and I have listened to most of her books, but in my opinion, this is her best.

Not Jodi Picoult's best book by any means. Too much jumping around in time. I love Ms. Picoult's work, and this is the first book of hers that has disappointed me.

Again Stephen King knocks it out of the park. I almost didn't buy this as I thought it was short stories. But each tale is a book. I thought each one was wonderful. I also loved his recap at the end.

There were times this book was painful to listen to. Times I wanted to put it down. Spoiler - the moments of hatred were so strong I found it difficult to go on. It was very well worth pursuing. It made me aware of prejudice within myself I don't like to own. I feel a little ashamed to say I will not recommend it to everyone I know. My prejudice I think.

There was a bit too much going on for my taste. But I think it would make a terrific movie. I really like Gregg Hurwitz. I lived You're Next. This didn't quite measure up. But for those who love non stop action, this is. the book for you.

I wish I could give more than five stars. Beautifully written, beautifully read. I thought the movie was good, but it barely scratches the surface.

It was a story that took a lot of time to develop. But like all good things worth having the patience to wait it out. It has a wonderfully satisfying ending.

I started this book expecting it to like a Tony Hillerman book. Thus, I was disappointed. But as the book progressed, I realized that this was not fair. On its own merits, I enjoyed both the story and the narration.

Good story as we've come to expect from Gregg Hurwitz. I personally am not fond of Scott Brick. I know I Amin the minority. He reminds me of someone and that irritates me. No fault of Mr. Brick. Even so his story telling is good. Every word clear. A very good production!!

Dean Koontz never disappoints I love his books. I don't think I would recommend this to children. Too scary.
