In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites listeners into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her - from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world's most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it - in her own words and on her own terms.

She reviews her life in just the right amount of detail and candor. It’s not a political story its a life story. Would not be the same without her own narration.

In early 2000, Adnan Syed was convicted and sentenced to life for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee, a high school senior in Baltimore, Maryland. Syed has maintained his innocence, and Rabia Chaudry, a family friend, has always believed him. By 2013, contacted Sarah Koenig, a producer at This American Life. In 2014, Koenig's investigation turned into Serial, a Peabody Award-winning podcast with more than 500 million international listeners. But Serial did not tell the whole story.

As an avid serial listener I was reluctant to listen thinking more of the same. I could not have been more wrong. So fascinating to hear so many aspects of the story. Rabia is an amazing dedicated friend.

What did you love best about It Starts with Food?

This book has been life changing for me. I spent 2 years going to doctors to figure out what was wrong with me. It doesn't even take a whole 30 to feel and understand your body's reaction to food. I wanted them to be wrong, I wanted to be ok with dairy and wheat but my body says otherwise. Highly recommend getting on their website mailing list for both whole 9, whole 30, recipes and Facebook. When I first ordered it I had to read it in ebook form. Because the are some medical terms that are very important to follow I found that listening was easier to do. I was able to rewind and re-listen. I am very impressed how well Melissa and Dallas narrate. This book was done nicely. Only negative is the little ching between chapters....irritating.

For twenty years, James Carville and Mary Matalin have held the mantle of the nation's most politically opposed, ideologically mismatched, and intensely opinionated couple. In this follow-up to their groundbreaking All's Fair: Love, War, and Running for President, Carville and Matalin take a look at how they - and America - have changed in the last two decades. If nothing else, this new collaboration proves that after twenty years of marriage they can still manage to agree on a few things.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The book would not be the same without Mary and James doing the actual reading however James has a thick accent and is a fast talker, sometimes faster than others so you have to focus.

Any additional comments?

Enjoyed the book. Funny to hear major government life changing stories told so matter of fact. The dedication and intensity to their jobs, their candidates, their girls and each other is amazing.
