Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Would you consider the audio edition of How to Date Your Dragon to be better than the print version?

I only do Audiobooks.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi and Jonathan Davis ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda rocks as always! Jonathan Davis was a new one for me and he did a great job.

Any additional comments?

I really loved this book! Molly Harper does small towns so well and this book is no exception. I would have thought she grew up in the Bayou with how well she wrote it! I love how she brings the whole town in to the story! It was very good much like the earlier Half Moon Hollows books.

Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshiping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules - but none of that matters anymore. The rules are changing. The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans. Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out - until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos.

In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods. At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won't ever be forced to present herself to them... Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world - a position that she definitely did not earn.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, in everyway! Very fast paced and make sure you remember the details!

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not had the pleasure but I will be happy to hear more from him in the future.

Who was the most memorable character of Patient Zero and why?

I will say Church and that is because he reminds me of "The Smoking Man" from Xfiles.

Any additional comments?

This is not the typical Zombie story! I love all the science and military stuff going on in this book! I'm trying not to leave any spoilers, so I will just say that its well worth the credit and I will be buying the next book shortly!

He thought he'd left that world behind for a Bay Area start-up with his brothers, but a man's past has a way of catching up with him. I'm Piper Kipton. I'm on the run from my own mistakes, and there's only one man who can protect me from them. In Atlanta, Georgia, the Cocker Brothers have certainly earned their nickname - The Cocky Brothers. Their daddy taught them to be real men. They have one thing in common: arrogance. Jake Cocker's younger brother Jeremy has just enlisted in the Marines, leaving him without a roommate. Jake wasn't aiming to live with a woman, but when a curvy, newly single, smart-ass who's at the end of her rope answers his ad, he changes his mind right quick, but mostly out of pity. Is Drew Charles different enough to tame a wild heart like Jake's?

What did you like best about Cocky Roomie? What did you like least?

The reader was WAY over the top!

What didn’t you like about Faleena Hopkins’s performance?

I love a southern draw as much as the next guy but this was way too much! It took away from the story and I found myself rolling my eyes so many times I just had to put the book down.

Any additional comments?

I understand wanting to be the reader of your own book but in this case I think really took away from the content of the book. When the reader becomes all you are thinking about its hard to get in to the story. I was not able to finish this book on audio but I will give it some time and try to read the Ebook.

Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well. Then one night Minalan is forced to pick up his mageblade again to defend his adopted home from the vanguard of an army of goblins bent on a genocidal crusade against all mankind. And that was the good news.

Entertaining but not great.

Any additional comments?

This would have been great if I was in my teens and it was the first fantasy book I had ever read. The sex was so out of place, awkward and unneeded I wish it would have been edited out and I would have given it to my son. It does have some potential and I hate to judge anyone on the first book of a series so I will read the next in the series before I write it off.

Surviving an unspeakable crime as a young teen had shaped him into a guarded workaholic, and he now lived his life trying to forget.
