According to Pema Chödrön, best-selling author and American-born Buddhist nun, you can. On Bodhisattva Mind, she examines sheshin, or "guarding alertness", and the other qualities of mind we need to develop on the path to enlightenment.

this was basically a retreat being recorded. various different people were reading from a text and causing allowing for Pema to explain the verbiage from the text. personally I rather hear actual text in their entirety without any breaks pauses or interruptions. unusually a fan of the retreat recordings, but this one fell a bit short for me.

I've been a listener of the Aubrey Marcus podcast for some time, and I subscriber of the YouTube channel. My own social channels and blogging content is also akin to that which Aubrey produces.. So I came into this book having already had some knowledge on the subject matter.

Even so, I found the narration to be well performed by Aubrey and the contents of the book to be well structured, organize, and in doing so Aubrey is able to communicate a simple effective message to the masses on how to improve one's day-to-day experience and yield a better life.

I'm sure Aubrey will be producing many books in the future which dive deeper into some of the items of discussion from this introductory book.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge JBP fan, and have watched his lecture series..

Honestly having listened to podcasts, and watched lectures... Much of what he's already talked about is repeated in this book in a more organized way.

If Im to critique this book I'd say it has a bit too many of Jordan's life stories referenced.. Though it does give some merit to what he's presenting in the 12 rules.. I would have much preferred to trim the stories of patients, and his personal family stories.. I would have enjoyed more discussion on human psychology, archetypes and mythologies.. But perhaps that's for the next book.

I almost gave this a 4 star rating because it wasn't informative to me personally.. However overall it was entertaining, well written and put together, so 5 stars it is.. Nice work.

The channeled literature of Paul Selig - who receives clairaudient dictation from unseen intellects called the Guides - has quickly become the most important and celebrated expression of channeling since A Course in Miracles rose to prominence in the 1970s. Selig's three previous books - I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation, and The Book of Knowing and Worth - have won a growing following around the world for their depth, intimacy, and psychological insight. The Book of Mastery provides a deeply practical prescription for heightening your abilities, aptitudes, and sense of personal excellence.

To the skeptical people.. this is a great audiobook whether it is channeled or not. That word channeling tends to be a bit loaded nowadays. Think of it as speaking to or hearing from The Muse, as described in Greek and other mythologies. Paul does a great job of reiteration and narration of this audiobook. I do however think word I am word is a much more powerful introductory text, and encompasses much of what is described in this book, but this one is still a nice follow-up.
