In her debut memoir, singer-songwriter Bar Scott brings the same emotional veracity to her personal story as she does to her music. In lyrical detail, The Present Giver is a moving account of Scott's search for meaning and hope when her infant son Forrest is diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Bar, as soon as I saw The Present Giver on Audible, I down loaded it to my phone and listened to it in one go, working in the garden, cleaning rooms, walking Charly...I couldn't stop. I'm particular about a narrator's voice and have actually not listened to some books because of that. I already knew the book was so full of emotion, since I own it, but hearing you read your own story, well, like I said...couldn't stop. It's hard for me to imagine that time in your life. The songs at the end were a plus. Thank you.
