The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together. And I don’t mean any of that figuratively. No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker - my physical therapist - I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit. She said she’d been assigned to fix me. But what I didn’t know...what I couldn’t possibly know...was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

Where to begin. I enjoyed this story. I liked Colby, loved Lydia and her 3 kids and adored the entire Morgan family. My issue was that it was 15 chapters too long (76 chapters? Really?) and the WRONG narrators read this book. I’ve never been a fan of John Lane’s harsh gravelly voice, and wish Zachary Webber or Joe Arden had performed it. That and the fact that Lauren Rowe read HER OWN BOOK, I mean, seriously people. Did she not have friends to tell her that it’s not a good idea to do that? For me, a pretty good story got lost in the translation with these 2 performing it, which is a shame. But, if you don’t mind the narrators and the ridiculous 3, 4 and 5 minute chapters, you might really like this book.

Awkward? Maybe. But how else is a good girl going to find out if she likes being naughty? I might be sweet as cherry pie, but I'm also bold and damn curious. And Gabe is charming, trustworthy, aces at seduction (or so I hear) and - bonus! - willing to give me lessons. But to guarantee it won’t ruin our friendship, I have some specific requirements for his instruction. I want these classes to be hypothetical more than hands-on. So what if he’s hella sexy? I can handle that, no problem.

Dr. Russell has a bad reputation around our hospital. I try to avoid him and his temper at all costs. It’s just as easy to admire his sexy, grip-it-while-he’s-ravishing-you hair and chiseled jaw from a healthy distance. Unfortunately, my plan crumbles when my trusty ol’ boss decides to swap his white coat for a Hawaiian shirt. His retirement leaves me with two terrible options: Switch specialties and spend months retraining or take an open position as Dr. Russell’s surgical assistant.

This book caught me off guard. For me it was new writer and new narrators. I loved this story of Matt and Bailey. I loved their journey and how it ended. It took me a while to ease into Aubrey Vincent’s narration, but I found Lee Samuels’ to be smooth and sexy. I may go look for another book with his voice telling the story. Meanwhile, this book is totally worth the credit!

The world’s sexiest firefighter is about to get a second chance with the virgin next door.... He’s bossy, arrogant, and so ridiculously hot that he should come with a warning label and a pair of flame-retardant coveralls. He’s also the boy who broke my heart when we were in high school. I want to move in next door to Ryan O’Dell the way I want to be the virgin gamer geek suddenly in charge of running my sister’s sex-toy factory. Too bad both are written in my stars.

I was excited to read this book. Really good near narration, story was going to be funny from the start, it was about a fire fighter, for crying out loud, it got lots of good reviews, it had so much potential. But somewhere along the line, not very far in, it just fell flat for me. It just seemed silly. I tried to find the fun in the story but I just couldn’t. The character development was just off for my liking. Even Jacob Morgan, who I adore, couldn’t fix this one for me.

DO NOT waste your time reading this book! Between the horrible story, terrible narration, and ridiculous characters, clearly it wasn’t for me. After a couple of cringe worthy first few chapters, listening to a narrator who seemed to speak in a grating voice, I skipped to the last chapter and even that was... just bad.

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

This book is called a new adult romance. I have no idea what that actually means. I’m a romcom kind of girl and this was way dark. That, however, wasn’t the issue. I just think the narrator was pretty bad. Not on his female characters so much, but on the male lead. The content of this book was hard enough to hear without Halstead’s voice sounding so desperate through the entire book. It just made it weird for me. I’ll not be looking for more from this author or this narrator.

I think I will never be able to listen to an audiobook quite the same, ever again!12 narrators in the same room, an interview with York and Arndt, and out-takes with everyone, was incredible to hear. I have now heard the best of the best and going back to one narrator or 2, done from different states is going to be hella hard. What a fabulous way to listen to an audiobook!! I hope they do this again soon. And just an aside, Joe Arden was magnificently adorable. He never gets to read a part like he did in this book and he was hilarious! Who knew he had that much fun in his repertoire of voices.

Oh how a narrator can almost ruin a book! I totally enjoyed this story. I got sucked in from the start and Teddy Hamilton was his adorable, sexy best. The problem, for me, was that Seraphime Valentine was just awful. If not for Teddy, I’d have dumped this book after the first chapter. That being said, read it anyway. Perhaps you won’t hate Ms Valentine’s narration and then it’s a totally cute love story.

I Loved this story. I Loved Georgie Watson, the main character, BECAUSE, Susannah Jones, who I’ve never heard before is my new most favorite narrator!!! She absolutely nailed this book. Can’t wait to find more read by her. And of course, as always, Joe Arden is his sexy, fabulous self!! This is a sweet story of enemies (sort of) to lovers, but the banter both out loud and in Georgie’s head is hilarious! So worth the read for Contemporary romance lovers.
