Dakota Jones is the second youngest of four children who had a difficult upbringing living with parents who struggle with mental illness. He escaped his family as soon as he could by joining the military. Now, after several tours of duty he has been discharged. He has nowhere to go and no solid plans for the future. Refusing to return home to his parents he arrives in Sullivan's Crossing where his brother Cal and sister Sierra have each experienced the healing power of the place and its people. Nestled at the crossroads of the Colorado and Continental Divide Trails, the area attracts those looking for answers or direction or a new lease on life. Dakota will come to terms with his less-than-perfect family and will plant the roots he's never had.

This story could have ended 15 chapters before actually did. I was kind of bored in the beginning and as It went on, there was so much talk talk talk, that I just lost interest and skipped to the end. The characters were eh, the story was eh, so read at your own risk if you have a ton of time. I’m not going on to the next book in the series.

But when Mason shows up at her best friend's wedding, talking sweet and looking even sweeter, Lark can't deny the man still gets to her in a major way. Mason Stewart was a messed up kid, but he's a man now, a man who knows what he wants and won't stop until he's convinced the only woman he's ever loved that they are meant to be.

I really did want to enjoy this book. Unfortunately I was bored to tears, skipped to the end and couldn’t even get through that. Mediocre narration and a bland story was the downfall for me. Glad I can return it, no questions asked.

The moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was 14, and I’m still not over her. Problem: She still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I’ve learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last 15 years. I can’t wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.

I absolutely loved every single second of this sweet, adorable, fun story. My only criticism is that (for me) you can take Fools Gold away from Tanya Eby but you can’t take Eby out of Fools Gold. She might have let someone else read with Teddy Hamilton, whose voice I can never get enough of. If you crave charming, cute characters that you’ll want to be friends with, and who doesn’t love a male lead who loves kids, this book is a winner!

I like Joe Arden’s narration, I really do. Unfortunately, this story was the worst. I read the reviews and I thought I was in for something really good, but after 15 minutes of listening to how the main character shaved his body, I was out. Bored to tears, I just couldn’t finish it. The “Pucked” series just doesn’t have enough actual story for me.

And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate. By reckless, I meant the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar.
