I'm not sure why I continued listening to this. The primary character was just awful - it seemed like the author was trying to make her seem cool & funny but nothing she said or did was funny - it just seemed like the author was trying too hard. I wasn't bothered by the main characters promiscuity, nor her alcohol & drug use but her behavior was more like a college student than an adult & it was pathetic & not funny. Don't waste your credits or time on this one.

It's summer on Nantucket, and as the season begins, three women arrive at the local airport, observed by Josh, a local boy, home from college. Burdened with small children, unwieldy straw hats, and some obvious emotional issues, the women - two sisters and one friend - make their way to the sisters' tiny cottage, inherited from an aunt. They're all trying to escape from something, and soon Josh is part of the chaotic household, acting as babysitter, confidant, and, eventually, something more....

I didn't care for the narrator nor the story. The characters weren't likeable...annoying from the start, but since I paid for it, I finished it. I couldn't wait for it to be over. I listened to "The Rumor" by the same author & liked that but this wasn't good.
