The story is remarkable and sometimes frustrating, but it will give hope to others to know that someone survived and became successful after such a poor start. The narrator was absolutely splendid and added much to the listen.

I found the information provided to be basic. If you have done any study on nutrition this speech would not contain any new information. Brenda misuses words, and pauses in the middle of phrases. Add to this my personal pet peeve which is women who make a statement that sounds like a question, and I debated not finishing. I will not likely get another in this series.

This is more like "guided imagery" than self-hypnosis or affirmations... There are a lot better tools for encouraging weight loss and a makeover on this website - Slim Forever subliminal weight loss, the Self Hypnosis diet are two. I listened to this once and will not again.

Without a lot of Mars and Venus talk, John presents information about the way men and women view sex, that are helpful to dispel common areas of misunderstanding. I am not a big fan of lumping all women and men together into two groups and making generalizations, but some of the insights were new and very helpful. This is a presentation that everyone would love to know their partner had listened to, as it increases one's motivation to be more understanding and proficient. Basic techniques were discussed in a non-salacious fashion.

I have listened to a number similar audio programs and this was one of the best so far. I didn't mind the music, and thought it was better than silence or tones in the background. Due to the large number of affirmations, there were a few that I thought were irrelevant or assumptive, but generally speaking I continue to enjoy Louise's calm voice and feel more like tackling with world when I'm done. Sometimes she gives a fact, followed by affirmations, which I didn't mind either.

Buy the book

The authors are possibly the people most capable to navigate through all the medical terminology etc., but they are more humourous as writers than as narrators. There is a lot of complicated detailed information about the body, that would be more easily retained by buying the book and highlighting sections for review later.
