We Band of Angelsis the story of women searching for adventure, caught up in the drama and danger of war. On the same day the Japanese Imperial Navy launched its surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, it also struck American bases in the Far East, chief among them the Philippines. That raid led to the first major land battle for America in World War II and, in the end, to the largest defeat and surrender of American forces.

I loved this book. It told the forgotten history of the nurses of Bataan. We really forget that their were women POW's in WWII. I loved the first hand accounts of the nurses time in captivity. It was well written and performed. AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

Here is a gripping account of the major postwar trial of the Nazi hierarchy in World War II. The Nuremberg Trial brilliantly recreates the trial proceedings and offers a reasoned, often profound examination of the processes that created international law. From the whimpering of Kaltenbrunner and Ribbentrop on the stand to the icy coolness of Goering, each participant is vividly drawn.

It is too bad the authors were so biased against all the prosecutors other than the British team. The book was well researched and gave great insights into the defendents, but lost credibility with the extreme bias. The French and Russian teams were all but ignored, the American team was denigrated as a bunch of incompetents. Only the British were shown in a favorable light. The book was well read.

Here is author Tom Clancy's heart-stopping masterpiece -- a riveting novel about one of the most intriguing issues of our time.

It was a great story. Performed okay. Do prefer the newer Tom Clancy books to listen to with Lou Diamond Phillips.
