If you have seen my reviews for the past two books, then you’ll be relieved to know that narrator has changed Jaenelle’s accent again; thankfully for the better! I was very excited!
Now that the voice thing is done, the story was really made for me with the emotional moment with Collie. The author did great with this part of the story.

While the narrator still makes me mad with his new accent for Jaenelle, you still need this story to get the details of the Diablo family. It’s a small stepping stone in the family’s story but still reveals a lot about them.

This a great story that really got my imagination going and night so I had trouble with the light scariness. I’m a wimp, I know. But I feel cheated by the narrator. He did the other books, and then BAM! Changed Jeanelle’s accent! All of a sudden she sounds like Morgan! I was highly disappointed within the first few minutes.

Story is ok, interesting combination of demons and immortals, but the narrator got in my way. He makes the characters sound stupid and that isn’t the way they are written. Plus the narrator sounds like he has something in his mouth at parts of the book, like he has a lozenge rolling around. His performance is lacking and he got in my way.
