Saiya Buchanan is a wraith, able to detach her shadow from her body and send it off to do her bidding. But, unlike most of her kin, Saiya doesn't deal in death. Instead, she trades secrets - and in the goblin besieged city of Stirling in Scotland, they're a highly prized commodity. It might just be, however, that the goblins have been hiding the greatest secret of them all. When Gabriel de Florinville, a Dark Elf, is sent as royal envoy into Stirling and takes her prisoner, Saiya is not only going to uncover the sinister truth.

It took a while for the book to get my full attention, but it eventually did and I enjoyed it. A couple of good twists and turns to keep it interesting. It is you basic good vs evil with a couple of social messages mixed in.

The book is pretty straight forward. Not a lot of twists or surprises. Good guys win and bad guys get destroyed. However, it is entertaining and I am not sorry I listened.

Ex-military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter. He's just passing through Margrave, Georgia, and in less than an hour, he's arrested for murder. Not much of a welcome. All Reacher knows is that he didn't kill anybody. At least not here. Not lately. But he doesn't stand a chance of convincing anyone. Not in Margrave, Georgia. Not a chance in hell.

It is fiction so not everything is completely realistic, but most of it is plausible and mostly believable. A couple of nice twists and turns. Of course you have Jack Reacher, a bigger than Life antihero.

A unique concept and not predictable. I found myself sitting in my car to finish rhetoric part I was listening to. I would listen to it before bed. Some likable characters some dislikable characters. Some cool plot twists. You'll have to read it to find out who survives.

By now you have probably read one or more John Milton books by Mark Dawson. This one is as good as the rest. Ziggy is back along with Hicks. This one takes place in the Philippines and Milton gets thrown in jail with no hope of escape. You'll have to read it for the rest of the story.

Inmates rarely leave Angola. Once you go in, the only way out is in a box. But Bachman is no ordinary prisoner. He was an assassin for the Mossad, and he has favours to call in.

The narrator was not very good, that might be the reason why.
