Ross Campbell had a thing for Callie Jones when they were growing up, but she was one of the “Jones girls”, from the richest family in the county, far above him, untouchable. Now Ross, deputy for a corrupt county sheriff, finds Callie stranded in the pouring rain on the side of the road - on her wedding day. Ross gallantly gives her a ride, but when the wedding is a disaster, Ross is the rock that keeps Callie standing. Her high school crush has grown up to be a gorgeous, hard-bodied man, as considerate and charming as he is attractive.

I'm not much of a Cowboy fan, but I've found each of these stories to be very interesting and entertaining. Ms. Ashley has given a well thought out story line and each book flow's flawlessly into the next, although, you can read these out of order and still get the gest of each story. Each book is basely telling the tail of two set's of brothers, and they just happen to be trick horse and bull riders. They also share a rivalry between both sets of brothers. Each book has shown how each of the brothers are falling in love and starting their families. The gest of the story is one brother, Ross, is not part of the family business. He has chosen to take a job as a Deputy and unfortunately he is working with a Sherriff that is turning his back on the drug crime that is happening in his area. He, (the Sherriff) is also taking kick-back money to look the other way. Ross, after getting together with the love of his life Callie, has decided to run for his bosses job. That's when the trouble starts. The head drug dealer does not want Ross in that position and tries to scare him into pulling out of the upcoming election. Ross finds that he's not along in his fight to do right by his home town, and that his friends support him to the fullest.

Each book so far has been read by Eric Dove, and he does a wonderful job as always. He is the reason I even began to listen to these stories. He is one of the few narrators that you can depend on to deliver an excellent job!

All in all, this series is well worth the credit, and if you are not a true fan of cowboy's this series just may convert you like it did me!

These are so very well written and performed that you will find yourself going from book to book. The Detective unit's in these stories are intelligent, tantalizing, and down right honorable. With all the wrong things we hear about the police force, it's wonderful to read about those who do their job and do it well. So far, each of these stories have been well written and very well performed. Worth the credit!

I can't say enough about this series. They are well written, engaging, and down right entertaining! These agents worked to bring down sex traffickers ran by a Chinese crime family and did it well. There is growing love between two agents, and growing respect between two others. You hear updates on other agents you have come to know from previous books, and some make personal appearances. Eric G. Dove is wonderful as always and delivered as always. Well worth the credit if you enjoy this type of story.

These are short and quick to the point stories. You get a story about all the MacKenzie brothers and the ladies they fall for. They move fast and if you blink it's over. They can't keep their hands off each other, and if that's the kind of story you're looking for, than these fit the bill. I didn't like the narrator, Carly Robins, at all. She didn't have much emotion most of the time, and she never even attempted to read with a different voice between male and female. That really through the story off somewhat, because I would think she was reading a female character, and it would be a male.

This was a very short but pretty cute, sweet story concerning a ex navy seal and the young innocent girl he falls in love with. They both work for a casino and dance around what is between them for a time, that is, until her life is in danger from another employee that is obsessed with her and her virginity. He saves her life and things fall into place for the couple. Ryan Hudson gives an outstanding performance and delivers the right amount of emotion while he reads. All in all, it's a nice start for the series. Short and right to the point.

These books are so much better when the right narrator is reading. I enjoyed the story line and the subject matter. This book is about Andy Warwick who is a police negotiator. He's made this his life's work because at the age of 10, he saw his father shoot and kill his baby sister and himself during a stand off with police. His mother takes her own life because of depression and leaves him alone in life. He is put in the foster system, but run's a way and ends up living on the street. He is taken in by a man and wife who influence him in a positive way that helps him change his life. He meets Cally, who had a child at the age of sixteen, and her background is kind of similar to his. She finds herself abandoned by her parents because of the pregnancy and is put out on the street. Her aunt takes her in and helps her throughout the rest of her life. When her aunt dies, she and her son are once again alone in life. When Cally and Andy get together her son is 10 and has no idea about his real father. Of course that's when the real father comes back into the picture and he is very unstable. He didn't want Cally to keep the baby when she first became pregnant and later finds that Cally has kept their son a secret. He had gone on with life and married and had another son with his wife. Turns out that wife and son died in a car accident that was caused by the mother being drunk. This is what may have caused him to become unstable, but I think there is more to the story even thou we didn't read about his life. Anyway, he finds out about his son with Cally and wants him. This leads to a standoff with the police and of course our negotiator Andy. I would have liked to hear all the stories in this series, but some are narrated by two other readers and they are terrible! I was so happy to see Aiden Snow was reading most of the books because I could not tolerate those other readers! God help my ears!
